The two soon to be s and Hairy hope you find what you need, I'm pretty certain it's here. Blitzzz
...a young, skinny dude with my nametag spent a few years in SF - formative years, I might add. Learned a lot about the world and myself, and I like to think it made me a better man.
I found this site thru a serendipitous Google search - stopped to read a few threads, and when I saw the Roy Bishop avatar, I knew it was real. Thought I'd join up, perhaps find a few old friends and maybe a few new ones.
I graduated training group in '72 as an 05B and was assigned to the 10th at Ft. Devens, joined 221 there after a couple months of waiting for them to return from Reforger.. Spent most of my time learning, but was also a ski instructor starting in '74. Reported into Toelz New Year's Day '76, was assigned to ODA5 immediately, was doing ski training inside of a week..:)
I always said I'd still be there if they'd have let me, but multiple events (and the peanut king) had me ETSing in December '78. I've spent the years since in the 2-way radio world, plus raising a family and all the joys that brings.
I can't offer much current knowledge outside of the radio world, but I'm willing to offer what I can. Dumbutt opinions and old memories I have in good supply, of course..

Welcome Gent's!
Hartley, welcome aboard. I'm also in the Phoenix area.
New 18x from Omaha, NE. Very eager to learn and become the best soldier that I can. As soon as I started looking at the Army I wanted to get into special forces and I have been given a great oppertunity with my 18x status. I have a long road ahead of me, but Im going to take it step by step and do my best. I ship 20090218 so I wont be here much but Ive been reading as much as I can and getting in shape for the big day.
Hello all,
I am a former 18D, served all of my team time in 2-10th at Ft Devens from 88-94. After a two year SWCS tour, was accepted into PA school. Since completion have been in the 10th MTN Division, where, after 3 yrs in an Infantry Battalion and 3 years in a Cavalry Squadron, have been the Senior PA of the Division for the past 3.5 years. Am currently enjoying the weather here in Iraq.
Prior service 91B1P, served 3.5 years with 1/504 PIR 82nd Airborne. Reading as much as I can, thanks.

18x prospect from New England. Currently awaiting a few med docs and a waiver to allow me to sign before my 20th birthday. Unfortunitally appears that I cannot enter OSUT until I am 20 on 03/26.
I was a AA runner in HS so I am on the slimmer side at 5'11 ~155lb but luckily the running isnt a challenge.
Been working hard and had a prelliminary APFT and maxed the run and situps but only managed 60 pushups so I was pretty dispointed. I believe I was just a bit tired from a workout in the morning but I know I am very close to 80 now. (Yes they were proper military pushups AND situps.)
My goal is to be able to score 300 on the APFT before entering Basic. I know it doesnt really mean anything but it cant hurt and the success percentage appears to be far greater at a higher entrance PT level.
I appreciate everything that is achieved on here and hope to become part of your community in the near future :boohoo

All,
I am a former Marine, who served with 4th and 3rd Light Armored Reconnaisance Bn as a rifleman scout. I was in Kuwait and Iraq from February 2003 - November 2003. After honoring my contract with Uncle Sam, I finished college and got a BS in Kinesiology from UMCP, but somehow ended up as an IT geek.
My civilian job is a Cisco network engineer. I also joined the Virginia National Guard as a 25B, information systems operator. However, I was unhappy with sitting around and doing nothing or hiding from the 'hey you' working parties. Because of this, I recently tried out for the 20th SF Group in Glen Arm, MD and was transferred there. I am hoping to reclass as an 18E.
Outside of my civilian career, I spend most of my time running, lifting weights, humping/rucking (1-2 times a week), doing muay thai, and grappling (no-gi). I love training and would rather train harder now, so it is easier later. Outside of training and work, I try to allocate as much time to my wife as possible she does not grab me by the 'short and curlies' and PULL. I figure I would need her support in my future endeavors.

Welcome All! And Thanks for your Service
MM
Good Evening,
My military career was short and rather unspectacular. I joined the Army as a 19D right out of high school. About 14 weeks into my 16 weeks of OSUT I suffered a compound fracture of my left tibia that completely destroyed all those small, yet very important, components in my knee. Uncle Sam decided I could no longer meet “fitness” standards and sent me packing. Not what I had hoped for, but no one asked my opinion.
I put that GI bill to good work and got a BA in Political Science from UCCS. To make sure I didn’t use my degree the way I had planned I now work for a large auto insurance company as an injury claims adjuster. Never a dull moment!
More than anything I am a father to two great kids and husband to a wonderful woman. I enjoy pretty much anything outside and fortunately I live in a place that we can be outside year around.
I plan on doing a lot more reading than posting. Better to be silent and thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
To all of you that are currently serving or served in the past I thank you for all that you and your families have sacrificed.

My name is Ryan (Admin edit, you don't need to use your last name)). I spent 13 years in the Army, all in Special Forces. I began as a support guy and went to selection and the Q-course to become an 18D. I was very fortunate to be assigned to Stuttgart, GM with 1-10th SFG(A) for my first assignment. At the time that was defiantly the place to be. I then PCSed to Ft. Carson and, timing is everything, was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time for the invasion. After OIF II, I got out and became a Triple Canopy contractor. I worked for about 4 years as a contractor overseas with TC, SAIC, and MVM. I enjoyed the money and sometimes the job. I did miss my family. I am now a Navy contractor working on a NEK contract in Gulfport, MS teaching the Blue Navy combat skills. I spend all my free time with my family making up for lost time. I have a great wife, 8 y/o daughter, and a 3 y/o son. It will be good to catch up with old buds and participate in some of the discussions.
Hello ALL!
My Name is Robert (Bobby) on the team. I am currently assigned to 3rd Grp as a senior medic on a ODA. I think that I finally have time to read and actually be home more. I look foward to posting in any capacity that I can and thanks for everything.
Hi, my name is SPC Exxxxxxx. I am 32 and currently stationed at Fort Polk with 4th BCT 10TH Mtn. I recently dropped my SF packet and am looking at attending the April SFAS class. I have been running and rucking my ass off, not too mention pull ups, pushups, etc. It has always been an aspiration of mine to be part of the Spacial Forces community. I think it is kind of cool that my wife is the one who is pushing me to fulfill that aspiration...lol Anyways, what I am really looking for more than anything is any adice, tips, or thoughts that will help me. I am not known for quitting. The only way I will quit is if I have to be carried out on a stretcher. But, I know there are alot of seasoned veterans from SF here so anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your service and professionalism!
Don't need your last name out in public, you have a long road to travel yet

Fellow Warriors,
I was a young Weapons Sergeant (18B) and Communications Sergeant (18E) in the 5TH SFG during the Reagan Administration. The years that I spent in 'group' were some of the most adventurous and meaningful of my life. I traveled to exotic places and got to do exciting things. There is a camaraderie in SF that doesn't exist anywhere else and at times I miss it. My experiences there taught me more about life, people, and the World than any professor ever did in college. In joining professional soldiers I hope to reconnect with other SF veterans and perhaps revisit some of the glory of my youth.

Hey
My name is Tom but close friends call me T-Bone (my call sign when I was on flight status). Here is how I got to where I am today.
After a year of college I decided that it wasn't working well. I then joined the US Army. I told the recruiter I was interested in SF. He said, "I've got a deal for you, join the 82nd ABN as an infrantryman. SF is just across the street and it is no problem to transfer." Well, after 18 months or so in the 82nd I reupped (they let you do that in the early 70s) and went to 91Q Pharmacy Tech school then on to the 9th Inf. There I met a SF medic. We became friends (everyone else was legs) and he got orders back to Ft. Bragg. A few weeks later I received orders back to the 82nd. Instead of signing in I went over to Gary; he was in the 5th Grp. Gary took me over to the S1 NCO who called DA and worked some magic and my orders were changed and I was assigned to A/3/5 ODA-576. It was interesting. Go on an FTX with the team, then off to Phase 1 of the Q course. Go on an FTX with the team, then 300-F1. You get the drift. After a little over a year I finished Phase 3. This was the mid 70s by now and I went on a number of training missions but never deployed overseas.
At the end of '78 after a lot of thought I decided to get out and go back to school. At the University of Arkansas using my GI bill things went well. I was accepted to medical school and went on a USAF scholarship. First assignment was to Scott AFB for family practice residency then to Hickam AFB for 4 years as a flight surgeon.
Once again after lots of thought I decided to get off active duty. I found a full time job as an ER doc and joined the ARANG 188th Fighter Wing in Fort Smith AR (F-16s at that time). A great unit.
Currently I'm in the inactive reserves (physicians are subject to recall until age 60).
I practice family medicine in a small town in SW MO and still work a few ER shift (when they beg real hard).
I found this site when I googled "nous defions". This is an interesting place on the 'net and hopefully I can be a asset here.

My name is Kiel , I'm currently an SMP through UTSA. I recently crossed over from active duty Airforce to the Army with the goal of hoping to one day obtain the privilege of becoming a 18A.
Hi, the name is Aurélien, and i am currently working as a journalist on military matters & military equipement for a French press group. Thought coming here would be a nice way to get some first-hand informations about the SOF community in G-WOT.

I enlisted in the Marines in '99 because I wanted the hardest, highest level of training the military had to offer. Because of a blown out knee (ACL, MCL & meniscus) a few years earlier, I got the boot at MEPS when I was in my skivvies in front of the doc right at the cusp of completing the mind-numbing process. Spent the next decade waiting tables & bartending, going to school for criminal justice & partying with stupid people & paying the consequences (lesson learned the VERY hard way).
When I was 27 I had an epiphany of sorts that I was wasting what little time I have on this planet & needed to pursue my destiny of serving in the military. I tried to go in the Marines again but that didn't work, then I tried to go active Army but they wanted me to ship out several months later so I got passed off to a Guard recruiter who told me that he could get me shipped out in a hurry. He told me that I could volunteer to deploy & be activated then go active duty after I satisfied the TIS in my contract.
When I saw how unmotivated most of the guys in my Guard unit are & how little we do on drill weekends I knew I needed more...a LOT more. Then my active duty battle buddy in Iraq tells me how they really don't do all that much either & I got quite discouraged. I prayed to God to use me as a tool for good, to put me on a path that will help good people & punish evil people. Fast forward several months & I'm doing pre-deployment training at FT Stewart & come across some SF pamphlets.
Next thing you know, I'm PT-ing with a small group of guys in the heat when other soldiers are relaxing. I'm running 1st thing in the morning around the mock FOB when others are sleeping or eating chow. I'm leading PT with the guys in my CHU doing push ups while wearing an IBA & stacking up other guy's IBAs on top to add another 40lbs each (I'm the lowest ranking soldier-PFC-& there are 2 E-6s among the guys following my lead). When guys ask me "When are you going SF?" my reply is "As soon as we complete our mission & I get a little time for R&R when we get home".
I hope that my intro/life story isn't too long, I just had a strange path that finally is coming to fruition & I want you gents to get a picture of me. Saying "I went to FT Lost in the Woods in Aug. '07. I transferred from MA to NC in April '08..." would be boring & not really say much about me. I will be an 18C after completing SFAS & joining a unit.
I apologize for posting in an inapropriate manner. Rest assured that my head has been removed from my hind end and I have been properly mentored on how a forum works. I am new to this and will ask a few more questions before hitting the post button. I meant to say that I am a senior in high school with an intrest in SF.

hello, found this site last month, I'm impressed. Joined SF in Dec 1963 and served with some groups that were deactivated, 13th, 8th and 11th. Some old SF friends got me involved with SFA some years back, and we formed chapter 85 which has members from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. to Ft. Pierce,Fl. Our next chapter meeting is April 18th at the Dockside Inn in Ft. Pierce-----some members come down from Ga, Sc etc on the 16th and 17th of April to hang out with others and SEAL Team Zero at Little Jim Bridge or Dockside Harborlights. If you are in the area stop by for a beer or the Sat meeting.
Would like to "talk" to any members of the old 322 SF Detachment that originally made up the 13th group when it was activated in 1961.
Posted a raffle in Base Camp for an M1919A4/A6 .30 cal air cooled, belt fed, machine gun (made semi auto) for our wounded SF project.

Hi All,
I've been out of the net for a while and wanted to link up again. I have many friends already here on the website. I thought this would be a great way to maintain contact with those "lost" friends and catch up on the "news".
A little about myself; I joined the Army in 1979 and yes, am one of the "original", albiet older, SF babies. I've spent a majority of my time with the 10th SFG (Devens, Stuttgart, Carson), with short stints in 2/1 SFG when it was stood back up in '84, and was sequestered in the basement of USASOC working for the G3. I am now retired (October 08) and still support the Group as a contractor. I am active in the SFA and a Life member.
I am sorry I couldn't attend BullDog's funeral. Another great one will be missed.
Andy
Greetings,
I'm Goldy... a Corporal in the Marines.
Formerly a tank mechanic, off to pursue endeavors in the intelligence community. Did one deployment to Iraq, as a provisional rifleman.
I'm not all that much of an interesting person, though. I'm just here to browse through the wealth of information presented on this message board, and possibly contribute if the need arises.
Hi sorry i used my first post to post something in another thread.
I served 22 years in the military 4 in the parachute regiment and the rest in 22 Reg. I am still involved in the military and do alot of civvy work with the army cadet force and other regiments etc.
Thanks for accepting me!

Rocky Senatore here, 5th group guy, retired in 2004. 18E, worked a year or two as a 18F. I have tried to stay engaged as possible, working in the body armor business a while, did a DoD contract gig for NEK, and now I work for SureFire.
From time to time I get a communications or firearms instructor gig, usually for very little money, but always a lot of job satisfaction!
Live in Surprise AZ, just west of Phoenix, with my wife of 25 years and my two boys. Well, one really, the older son is in collage across town, but he still comes home when he gets hungry!
I signed up for Professional Soldiers a long time ago, and just today I found my user name and password.

New to the site, making my intro. I'm a former Marine grunt with one tour in the sand box I've recently joined the PA guard as an 11b. I've been in talks with a recruiter from 20th Group. I'm currently busting my behind to get myself back into top physical condition. This website has been a wealth of knowledge and tips and I appreciate being allowed to access this great information. I recently picked up the "Get Selected" book and it too has furnished me with some more ammo for the brain housing group. Thanks

I am a 26 year old in Washington State. I have worked in my family's business for three and a half years since getting a Political Science degree. I love my family, and want to help them out, but I think that there is something more out in the world for me. Several reasons led to me considering a military career. I didn't know much about the Army, but I have done a lot of reading and that was what drew me to SF. I met with a recruiter and on a lark took the ASVAB. I scored in the 99th percentile, and was encouraged by that. I am here learning and using it as a resource. My family and close friends think I am nuts. I can't explain it in a way that makes sense to them, but I would like to be able to do that. That's me in a nutshell.

Hello,
My name is Brad and I enlisted on January 5, 2009. Currently I am attached to a Cav unit and start OCS in June. I hope to be assigned to one of the Lurse units in our Regiment upon graduation. After talking with my Commander today about the upcoming schools I will get the opportunity to attend I am excited.
In the short week since I have joined this site I have spent a good bit of time learning from everyone here by reading many posts and have to say it is one of the best forums I have found that discusses the Army, the importance of being a professional, and most importantly never to quit.
Thank you all, past and present, for your service.
I have been lurking around the site for a few weeks but was recently "regulated" by a lovely lady and instructed to introduce myself.
I have my fingers crossed that I have not started a new thread and my grammar is correct :p
Veteran Patrolman for a "big ole city" in DFW, Texas. I could retire but why give up throwing bad guys in jail and helping lil old ladies stranded on the side of the road.
I noticed that my husband spent alot of time on this site and decided to make sure he was not addicted to internet gaming or "dirty stuff" so checked it out myself.
Very interesting, informative and useful. Two thumbs up!

And fifty more for the ill-advised use of the word "young". Haven't even gotten to the Tech School on the Hudson and you are already acting like a "Nob". Good Luck, Four years on the Hudson can be a looooong time. (Congrats, anyway)
Hello, I'm Kosta*, David to some, and I am a university student. I recently (last few months) made the decision to enlist 18X after I graduate in ~two years for various reasons, so until then I'm getting the best grades I can and training my body to be in the best possible shape for both the APFT and SFAS. I was going to just lurk anonymously, but it occurred to me that it's impolite to hang around someone's house without introducing oneself.
*Short for my middle name, which is Konstantinos. I go by it both because of what it means ("the guy who is constant/reliable/determined/loyal") and because it was the name of my grandfather, a man whom I greatly honor.
Hello,
My name is Chris and I have been in the ARMY for about 6.5 years. I am an active duty firefighter currently stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base. I taught Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen the essentials of military firefighting for about 1.5 years. I moved to the S3 shop in November and am now adding staff experience to my resume. Previously I have served at Fort Hood, at stations 1 and 5. I fought the biggest fire I will ever see at Camp Speicher, in Tikrit Iraq. I am married with 2 wonderful children. I have given the search button here a good workout. This site has a good wealth of information. I appreciate everyone sharing their experiences and answering questions. I look forward to having discussions with anyone willing to share their time. The reason I joined this forum was to gather knowledge about the ARMY Special Forces. I plan on attending SFAS in May.
Good evening,
So far as this forum is concerned, I'm Karthas, a 19 year old sophomore at the University of Kansas, currently studying both film and premedicine (I see no reason to decide between the two as of yet). I enlisted last February so my last semester was spent in IET (Ft. Jackson then Ft. Sam Houston - I'm a 68W). I'm currently in the National Guard - 2/137INF with plans of going active after graduating from college. What was once a passing interest in the special operations community has become a very real interest in the Special Forces (fueled in part by a copy of 'Get Selected' floating around fire guard shifts in AIT and a strong desire to do more). I've been lurking on the forum for the past few weeks and have thus far managed to find the answer to every question I could wish to ask (the medical threads are particularly interesting), so I imagine that this may very well be my last post for some time.
And so, without further ado, Hello.

Hello,
I started browsing through ps.com when I was a PV2 and talked to the SF recruiter that came to our office. At the time I was a 96R (Ground Surveillance Systems Operator) stationed in the very beautiful Fort Wainwright AK. I used the information here on ps.com to come up with new and better ways for our teams to operate on long patrols.
I am now out of the Army and a contractor. Im not the cool contractor that carries fancy weapons and wears a special vest. Im an unarmed instructor over here in Afghanistan. I do occasionally get to work with QPs and as always I am impressed by their dedication and breadth of knowledge.
By the way if any of you run across UGS (Unattended Ground Sensors) in any theater drop me a line and Ill come help.
Dan
Hello,
I heard of the site from a friend, figured I would check it out and have so far been very impressed. This past summer I completed a four year contract with the Air Force where I had worked on F-16 Avionics. I had done a fair amount of research regarding what I wanted to do next in the military before leaving the AF and decided SF had my name on it. Joined the army with an Xray contract after one tedious month as a civilian. I was recently selected and was assigned 18E and French (already speak it.)
I don't think I will be doing much posting since I'm new to this whole blog thing and I figure I'll learn more by reading anyways.

Sig,
This is a "bulletin board" type of forum, not a blog. Here you just don't "leave a comment" as you would in a blog, here you interact in the discussion, post threads for new discussions, post your comments, opinions, or experience concerning a topic etc. Or as many do, you can just read.
This website is the largest (public) gathering of past and present Special Forces (aka the Green Berets) soldiers on the internet, there is absolutely none larger.;)
Congrats on being selected.

Hello,
I found this site after exploring google, and am thankful for such a resource. I am a prior service Kentucky Army National Guard guy, I was a rep with the MI Company for the 20th SFG(A). I jacked my knee up before I shipped out to AIT, and was medically discharged. That was a year ago and for the longest time I have been working on reenlisting.
I've always had the goal of going to SFAS and pursuing the coveted Green Beret. I've put it off to attend college at Eastern Kentucky University with a major in Homeland Security. However, I feel that this is the best time for me to reenlist as a Rep-63 18x with the 20th Group. I am going to learn as much as I can from this resource and start my journey this summer.
I'd like to introduce myself as Paul Lee. I came upon this site as a knife collector and enthusiast of Bill Harsey's work. As such, I do not meddle in the other threads that mainly concern members of our elite forces. I certainly have no place. But I do hope that I can visit here and learn from the few threads I do read, mainly Mr. Harsey's and fellow enthusiasts of his work. Thank you!

Salutations,
My name is JB. I am a recent college graduate who majored in Political Economy and Arabic at the University of Washington.
My military background is essentially non-existent, but I did come from a military family. My father was West Point class of 1970 and spent 22 years in the army until he passed away in 1992. Essentially, I grew up as an "army-brat," but only until I was 6.
I did also apply to West Point and was accepted with congressional nomination under their Early Action program, but was disqualified for particular reasons.
Recently, I started the enlistment process to joining the army under the 18x program and trying for special forces.
I believe that I am pretty aware of what the mission of and what special forces are and I am not doing this faintly or with ignorance.
About three weeks ago, I took the ASVAB and scored very well. Tomorrow, I go to MEPS for medical screening. From there, I will take the DLAB and have my packet complete for a a late-summer ship date.
Thank you very much for all the information on this site.
Have a great day,
JB

Hello. Former 82 ABN (1/505). Thanks for having me. Will read much, post little.
Greetings Brother Paratroopers,
I'm Marcus. Half-Breed Chippewa from Leech Lake Indian Reservation (Northern Minnesota). Served 84-87 in 307th Med (I hear it's called 307th FSB now) and am Freefall Qualified by way of training the 82nd (those who took the same path must know LTC M. Kim and MSG Willie G.). Got loaned out to WAY too many units at Bragg, including 5th (but am not Sierra-Qualified).
Had to get out of the Army due to a "slight issue" with a freefall in 87 that left me in bodycasts and wheelchairs for a year. Went back to college on the Army's $$$ and got 2 degrees, Business Admin and Computers. I've been designing and building computer networks for over a decade now. Tried to go back in last year, but they turned me down upon seeing my x-rays
I make it back to Bragg every so often. Was shocked that Hay Street has been changed into office space now :( Anytime I'm at Bragg, I can be found stuffing my face at either of the Waffle Houses on Yadkin near the mall (are they still across the street from each other? What stupid planning!)
Found this site while looking for my old 1st SGT Jim Erickson. Last I heard, he was at Pre-Scuba in the late 80s. Any info on him would be greatly appreciated and rewarded with lots of beer.
Thanks,

Unless you went through MFF taught by Special Forces Advanced Skills Dept. you are not MFF "Qualified". (If you did attend SF MFF you have a MFF number on your SWC Certificate of Training.) You got a MFF number or are you a just a "skydiver?

Been lurkin for awhile now. 8 years in the Army, 3 with 82nd( always star-struck by the "SF guys"), 1 with 2ID at Camp Casey Korea, 3 in Germany, 1 in Iraq in '03. 11C. Now a full timer in Vermont Guard as a training NCO in a light CAV trp(mtn). A very close friend of mine from active duty finished 18D course recently and was assigned to 10th group. I found this site from looking up info on that unit. Lots of great info on here. We are deploying later this year and I'm trying to glean as much info as I can on that AO. Doubt I'll ever post but will enjoy reading and learning. I'll be at mtn warfare school this summer and I'm told there will be several QPs there as well. Hope to learn even more then.

Howdy everyone
Following the website guidelines, here is a little something about myself:
I am a 23 y.o. college graduate from Pittsburgh, PA. My major was political science and I initially planned on going to pitt law school, but I have a heavy background in the sciences... and due to various recent circumstances I decided that I would rather go to med school. Lacking some of the classes necessary for a med school application, combined with a desire to serve my country, I enlistment in the Army reserves as a 68W (combat medic) with an additional M6 (LPN). I leave for basic training at Fort Benning at the end of April.
Yet, after a lot of research I have also become very interested in SF, in particular the 18D MOS. Interest was sparked mostly because of this website...also because my dad spoke highly of SF (he was an army combat medic during Vietnam). I played Junior A ice hockey and still play rugby, am 'efficient' in spanish and scored an overall score of 93 on my ASVAB, so hopefully that would be advantageous if I were ever to be recruited (and lucky enough to even get half-way through the SF training haha). But in the mean time, thank you all for serving our country to the highest degree, and I wish you all the best. Most people will never know how much they owe you.
Man, where did the last four years go?
I may have introduced myself before - I can't remember?
I spent all but about 5 of my 20 army years on an A-team. That other time, was filled with fun and adventrue of the aviation kind, so that was a good career!
Best place in the world is 9am in the team room, getting that first cup of coffee - damn, I miss that. And when I wasn't in the Teamhouse, I was probably at the Rod & Gun Club - setting up a few for me and the guys.

I thank you Gentlemen for the site and the more often humorous reads. Thank you.

Hey Gents I did the intro thing two years or so ago but then life got to busy for me to be jumping on reading forums. Now that lifes starting to slow down for me i figured what the hey why don't i rekindle an old flame.
I want to say shukran for accepting me on this website, it is truly an honor to read what you gentlemen have to offer for knowledge. I did some time with the 82nd as an 11bang bang, got out to get picked up by the alphabet soup. I'll admit that I kind of want to start a family and couldn't see myself doing that with the job i have now.The military offers more stability...Don't get me wrong, I love what I do because its something that has to be done. And I'm not here to try and recruit any professionals from the ranks. True believers you are, I'm not going to be the man to take that away from you.
I apologize to all who read my bio and got offended by my comedic nature. Comedy is my way of dealing, I try not to get to serious with life. I like to joke around when the time is right for it and sometimes when the time isn't right for it. Gets me in trouble. Alot.
Welp when I'm not working I like to work out, heavy into CrossFit and I'm looking forward to the games in July...:lifter

Hello all,
currently i am a Staff Sergeant in the USAF. i have been in for about 7 years, working as a munitions troop. i've done 2 tours in Korea. they are a little behind the times, they think the cold war is still on!! so after ungodly amounts of binge drinking, i'll be posted up in Virginia for a while.
i'm working on a collection of firearms, maybe a working to hard on it. i donno, maybe i'm to critical of the tool for each individual job. what i'm trying to say is i have been threw a small arsenal of weapons, but keep very few. in retrospect, i never new i was so picky.
anyway, i also have a few red tail boas, and a python..... i really dont know what else to say. luckily i've been accused of being brutally honest, so if anyone has any questions, i answers are straight forward.
looking forward to killing time with you ladies and gents, since i wont be killing any OPFOR anytime soon.
peace and good times you you all, death and chaos to our enemies.

These days I work as an electrical engineer in the construction industry, designing site infrastructure and building systems.

Hello All-
Thanks for inviting me in to stay a while and listen. Glad to be here, and greatful for the service (both militarily and site wise).
Graduated two years ago and have since been teaching afterschool programs to at risk teens. This past summer I felt a higher calling to serve this great nation. I had been doing research on PJs when, specifically reading the book No Room For Error, I became very interested in SF. Just finished the book Chosen Soldier, by Couch, and am very excited to continue my research and maybe some day work alongside you fine gentlemen.
What interests me most about SF? I'm a firm believer in the motto, and the by, with and through techniques. Thank you again for letting me sit in and learn.

Greetings All!
Found this site on a search and have been lucky enough to creep around on it for some time now. I met a former QP/EOD while working in the PMC sector and ever since have been intrigued by their knowledge and professionalism. I'm sure some of you know him, He was Army SF in the early to mid eighties, left the army and came back EOD. I'm sure some of you may know him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind me typing his name but I don't think that would be proper protocol at this time. He was a bit of a mentor, and almost an idol to me and ever since Ive wanted to attend SFAS.
Leave for deployment sometime at the end of this year to Afghanistan, on my way back I EAS, and hopefully Ill have the opportunity to attend SFAS.
Hope to learn a bit, and hopefully find a QP near where I live have as a mentor and friend.
Take care
Hello-
I have been reading posts for some time now, learning what I can from all the QP's that have been there and done that. I have been the "gray guy" and will continue to be.
I have been an engineer since I enlisted in “96”, I have only one deployment under my belt and that was to Iraq in “03”. After a 2 ½ year break in service I decided to get back in, shortly after reenlisting I realized who and what I wanted to be. So here I am learning from the best. Thank you for the opportunity to enter your house.

Hey
I'm a student currently residing and studying in the UK, entering University in Fall '09 to major in Russian with English Literature.
Stumbled across this site not too long ago and was intrigued, first off by the information about a possible career choice and secondly by the existence of what seems to be pretty reasonable discussion areas for Politics and Current Affairs.

Greetings gents, and thanks for lettin' me in the door. I've been a lurker for a while - gathering information for my soldiers and my self. This is a damn good place for info of all kinds!
I'm a 23 year Infantryman (early on), now a PSYOP'er, and have had the pleasure of working with a few QP's here and there. I always learn a lot more than I can give in return, hence my seeking out this site. Maybe one day I can pay some back. Til then I plan on soaking up as much "smart" as I can, never know when it'll come in handy.
Thanks for what you do, and thanks for the opportunity to get on this site.

Hello Gentlemen,
At this moment, I have 7 days until I will be on a bus heading for the Reception Batallion. I have an 18x contract signed and there is no feeling of failure in my mind. A little bit about me-
-I am 22 with 60 hours of Engineering school behind me (I recently realized it was to please my parents and not what I wanted to be doing)
-5'9" 155lbs
-APFT - 300 (85 pushups, 78 situps, 12:39 2-mile)
I am excited like I have never been before just to have this chance to join your world. I have wanted to do it as long as I can remember but I just hit my wise point.

Hello. My name is Alex. Just dropping in to introduce myself, per SOP. I'm not new to the SF community. I am fluent in Spanish, ASL and have a little knowledge of Arabic. I recently had the privilege to work for an employer that placed me in an environment surrounded by 18D's. That experience helped guide me in a new direction in my life. I am looking at going in soon, but have not yet secured a contract. With that said, I am here to absorb as much as I can before taking the first step. Thanks for your time.
Hello Gents. Mike here, and I would like to thank you for allowing me into your house. I have served in the Corps, (early 90's) and did a "prior service year" with 19th SFG. I have always had the utmost repsect and admiration for the SF, and am grateful to have the opportunity to soak up some more knowledge from this forum. Thanks again.

Hello Folks! Looks like I'm the FNG today. It's good to be here. Let me first of all say that I have a profound respect for you guys wearing the "Long Tab." I've always had a lot of intrest in the Special Forces community. Currently I'm working with my branch to come on a "Group Assignment" in September when I PCS from Kuwait. I've been in the Army almost 7 years now. I'm one of those Signal geeks (SAT-COM) but hopefuly soon I'll be an SF signal geek (18E)! That's right; after years of toying with the idea I've finally decided to see if I got what it takes by going to SFAS. I'm really glad I found this site!

I look forward to learning as well as contributing in whatever sort of meaningful capacity I'm able.
Thanks for having me.

My name is corey and I will be attending Virginia Military Instititute in the fall. I intend to commision after graduation.
My introduction is also a heartfelt thanks. I've been a silent observer on the forum for nearly a year, gaining both a tremendous amount of knowledge and a deep respect for the men and the profession represented here.
As I tiptoe quietly around your house, I realize I'm in the minority -- being a woman and never having served in the military. The purpose of my visits is mainly for research, to have an accurate understanding of what it is you men do, and a desire to know what kind of man does these things. I've not been disappointed, either in the knowledge-base or in the type of men contributing to it.
Why am I here? Because I'm a writer. (Is this where I get shown the door?) I have strongly suspected that the portrayal of a Special Forces soldier, as given in common literature and movies, was... well... entertaining, but inaccurate to some degree. Observing you gentlemen here has not only confirmed my suspicions, but also given me an excellent example of what a real QP is. I hope my writing is better for it and does you men justice.
Thank you again.

Hello,
I’ve been lurking here for a while and figured it was time to post an introduction.
I am a 27 year old Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. I went to MEPS this week to sign an 18x contract; I passed the physical and scored a 122 on the DLAB. Unfortunately, as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer I was disqualified from getting a security clearance. It is still unclear to me if it is permanently disqualifying or just for four years after Peace Corps service. I am currently trying to figure out what my next step should be…
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this forum; I have learned much and will continue reading.

Welcome to PS.com.
Your having been a member of the Peace Corps is a permanent disqualification to obtaining a clearance because of the people you may have had contact with while serving.
Best of luck with your options.

Hello,
My name is SPC T., G.J. I have been a member with PS since May of 08'. I have spent several hours reviewing some of the discussions that have been posted and have gathered a lot of great information. I first joined the Army in Aug. of 98' as a 13B and was stationed in Ft. Wainwright, AK with the 172nd. After my term I got out and became a civilian employee. While doing the 9 to 5 track I began to miss a lot of what the military had to offer. Granted, there are things that can be substituted in the civilian world, but you either have to pay a large amount for the activity or it just doesn't seem the same. I then decided to join the California National Guard in Dec. of 06' as a 92R with the 128th QM. Due to my prior service MOS I was put onto a deployment rooster and deployed within 2 months of signing up. The guard unit I was attached with, I was told I was too gun ho or high speed. Nothing against the National Guard but I liked the structure that the Active Duty provided. I saw things as just doing my job and some individual's frond upon it. Luckily, when we got into country we found out that we had been attached to SOCOM. Going Special Forces has always been a dream of mine since my first term. The only thing that held me back then was my inability to research information. Now that I am older and have more life experience I had realized that I still had an opportunity to fulfill my original goals. When I first signed up with the National Guard I started to think that I was different. But being deployed with SOCOM made me realize that I am not different, I just signed up for the wrong job. After returning home I found out that my unit had been re-organized to B Company 1106 TASMG. Nothing wrong with that but I didn't sign up to be a mechanic. Since the unit has to reclass everyone, they gave us the opportunity to change units or go Active Duty. As I start to see things fall into place I can see that life is pushing closer to what I really want. While reading information on this site I found a great resource. Get Selected for Special Forces: Major Joe Martin with MSG Rex Dodson. As you can guess I have already started to fallow the plan described in Appendix A. I would like to thank all that have made the choice that I am about to make and I hope that I will be able to become apart of America's best. It is an Honor to be a member.
Thank you.

Hi! My name is Kevin and I was assigned to the 550th Military Police Detachment of the 8th Special Forces Group in 1971. I was not originally airborne, but attended the course with the 8th. I then began attending the paperflash classes, but failed to complete due to deciding to choose ETS over reenlistment. I then returned to college and completed undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Illinois. I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 1978, 31 years. I served under LTC Ronald Lucas and SGM Arnheiter, maybe some will remember them. Finally, I was present when the changeover to 3rd of the 7th took place. Please ask if you have any question, and I hope I have now gotten off on a better foot.

Hello all,
I used to be an Artillery guy on active duty and was in OIF III. Afterwards, I reclassed to 11b and am in the National Guard while I work on my degree. I have school to worry about now, but would like to challenge myself in the future.
Pretty much all of my questions are already answered. Thanks for all you guys do and thanks for the great info!
Hello everyone I am an 11b, enlisted in early 90's. Spent some time int he 10th Mountain Division and deployed to Somalia. Got out in 1994. Was part of a couple different reserve units since, just didn't fit right with me. Waiting for my release from current unit, or my ETS in June whichever is first to do my best with the 19th SFG in Utah. I will be 35 soon and hope that maturity and determination will help out when my muscles don't recover as fast as a 20 year old. I have a daughter deploying with the 82nd here in a couple months she is a MP. Yes I know I was young. But upheld my responsibilities, and wouldnt' change any of it for nothing. Her being oldest of four kids, I get the pleasure to walk her down the isle this week. My family is behind me on this, I have talked with them about the time away, and the unknown. Was a great feeling when my wife said she would support this. So I have the SF physical, clearance left, and then whenever the 19th says I'm ready. I'm training physically on my own, mentally everyday. Dragging out old manuals. I know since I was last active duty in a Infantry unit in early 90's that I will have alot to catch up on. I will get up to speed quickly. I learn fast, and willing to do whatever it takes.

All,
I first would like to thank the professionals for giving me the opportunity to become a guest, while having the ability to consume as much information as possible on my pathway to SF.
I’m a 27-year-old working veteran/civilian professional working toward my degree in Business Administration at National University. I spent four years in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman, where I went on two deployments on the USS Tarawa with the USMC 13th and 15th Marine Expeditionary Units. During that time, I served as a cargo hold magazine supervisor, Gun Control Officer responsible for 9 gun control teams, and a TL of the ship’s reaction force.
I got out of the Navy 3 months early to continue my educational studies back home. Soon, I realized I wanted to get back out to California where there were better job opportunities for veterans. In Spring of 2004, I moved back out to Southern California. I picked up my current occupation in Nuclear Security as a Field Sergeant. I directly supervise 20 nuclear security officers and volunteer my time in an OPFOR/Mock unit.
As much as I enjoy the liberty of my occupation and lifestyle, I feel I’m not living to my full potential. I started learning about the SF mission this year. The more I learn about the community, the more I find myself thoroughly impressed with the mission of the team and how much I want to be a part of it.
Recently, I spoke with a 19th Group Sgt out of Los Alamitos who linked me up with a recruiter. My plan is to attend the SFRE in July and sign up with the NG awaiting SFAS.
I’m always reaching for new goals. In the mean time, I’m working full-time, going to school full-time, following the SFAS workout routine, and staying focused on the mission. Hopefully, someday I’ll meet some of you. Once again, thank you for your knowledge and experiences.

Thank you for creating this forum and providing me the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge. I have a b.s. in psychology. I am a former police officer (patrol, firearms instructor, tactical team member, field training officer) and currently a real estate broker. I'm married with one daughter (two years old). I have been interested in joining the Army for some time. I'm 38 and realize that time is not on my side. I am here to try and gain some perspective to see how viable this option is for me. I am considering going enlisted, infantry, with Ranger option. Maybe OCS after. I hope to meet some people that can help guide me in this decision.
Sincerely,
Veritatem Quaer

Hello,
I am 26 years old currently serving in the Active component of the US Army. I am a SSG with 3 ½ years time in grade and almost 10 years active time in service serving as an Infantryman with 3 deployments, 2 being combat deployments. I am currently slotted for SFAS in the April time period.
I joined the Army for the challenge, teamwork, comradely, and most of all to do my part for my country like many others in my family. With the challenges of the Infantry becoming less and less for me, I have decided to yet again challenge myself to do greater and more challenging things in the Special Operations community.
I heard about this site through others and have found it to be a total tool for preparation of not only SFAS but the pipeline as a whole and family life in the future if I do get selected. Id like to personally thank each and every one of the experienced members of this community for sharing there wealth and experience to the possible up and coming soldiers taking part in the SF pipeline.
Take care,
SSG C
Although I do not have the rite of passage to be a part of the Quiet Professionals, I immensely respect the individuals who proudly wear the title. One of the things that most impresses me is that the Quiet Professional is just that....not boastful, not arrogant, but proud, strong and intelligent warriors. This I have witnessed in my brother-in-law. To me he is the epitome of what a Soldier is about. In his presence I have always felt his strength, his honesty, and his integrity. Thank you for allowing me to be a Quiet Admirer of you all.

Hi everybody. My name is Mitchell, and I'm currently SDARNG. I am a 21R (electrician) and used to be a 21B (Combat Engineer) until they reorganized our units. I could have continued being a 21B but I would have had to leave my home unit, and I love the guys we have, so I just switched my MOS. I've been in for about 5 years, and will be moving to Chicago in about 5 months after I get married. When I'm there I plan on trying out for the SF unit in March of 2010. I'm a small town guy, from a place of 1300 people, and don't really want to live in Chicago, so the SF is my goal to keep myself sane. I've always heard of SF as far as movies and all, but until I decided I wanted to try out I never knew what they were really all about. I've read "Chosen Soldier" by Dick Couch, did a bunch of online research on SF, and just recently bought the book I found on here to help get through SFAS(if I get selected). I want to become SF largely because of the challenge, but also because after reading up on it, I realized how much of a brotherhood it is. That is the exact reason I love my home unit, everyone watches out for everyone, and even when drill is over we all stay together, wether its bowling, golfing, shooting guns, or anything else. I'm looking forward to the challenge of it all, and hope to make it through as "painless" as possible. I mean painless as in being prepared, not as if there won't be hard times, or actual physical pain, I've realized there will be plenty of both no matter how well you are prepared. Thanks for letting me be here, and I will not screw up this opportunity.
Hi everyone, and thanks to those who made this forum possible. I know myself and many others have had questions answered that a few years ago would have been left unanswered.
I spent two years at a military academy, where I was originally introduced to the special operations community and knew that SF was the right fit for myself. The mission set/ccommand climate was described as mentally and physically challenging, autonomous, trusting, professional, mature, and vital to national security. However, due to numerous personal disagreements with the manner in which the Academy was trying to mold myself and my leadership style, I decided the best plan of action was to depart. Now I am a senior at a school in Virginia, who in a few months will move onto a Finance/Econ/Business Consulting job in DC. However, the SF itch is still there, and I am looking to scratch it.
I have been speaking with a contact in MA about NG opportunities for both officers and SF. If things go 100% right, I'd love to get assigned to a RSTA unit and then start the pipeline.
Thanks again for the site.

Hey people,
I am a 24 year old 68w currently deployed to OIF.
I am still heavily considering putting in a packet to attend selection, but I have a baby on the way and some other stuff that has me reevaluating the decision on a daily basis. I am fairly certain I will despise myself for A) Missing time with or birth of baby, or B) Not trying for Selection.
I have read Get Selected, Chosen Soldier, and most of the books recommended in the back of Get Selected. I thought The Company They Keep was phenomenally well written. Tony Robins book would have been more useful if I read it 10 years ago.
Right now I just kind of read a lot and pt, I currently try to ruck at least 2 days a week here on post. (If anyone is on JBB and can really really move with a ruck, PM me) I am kind of stuck at 13-14m miles with a big slow down after mile 6.
Anyway, thanks very much for having me.
Hello.
This site is full of useful information and I would like to thank you creating it.
I'm 36, have been in the Army for about 16 months as a 15Q. Joined after finishing my degree, which is in Physics. Spent most of my life being a Systems Administrator type, working with computers. Decided to get back to school in 2002.
I'm currently stationed in Hawaii, and should have orders to attend SFAS this week. However, it looks like my Chain of Command is going to try their best to stop those orders, up to the BDE CDR. If the orders do materialize and do not get stopped, they will be for April. Word from the SF guys here is that my class position is locked in and secured, I just don't know who will have the ultimate override authority.
I guess it's nice to know that my company thinks I am valuable, but I wish they understood that I will, in the worst case, come back a better soldier for having attended SFAS. Best case, they will have time to find a qualified soldier to fill my position.
Thank you for making these forums available. I have enjoyed reading them.

Kepler, I used to interview all of the SFAS candidates about the way their CoC and assigned units treated them.
Normally, the best were the support units, and the worst was the Ranger Regiment, followed closely by the 82nd.
I made the same point that you have noted, that a returning soldier who was not selected returns with some valuable skills, a tremendously better insight into how people perform under stress, how motivated he really was, and how much you can drive on through.
My personal opinion is that commanders who fail to realize that, and that the soldier deserves a shot at it, are not reflecting Army Values but are being selfish and prejudiced.
The best way to repay that is, IMHO, to go anyway and to get selected.
Use that as a source of motivation, as you do not want to return to a unit which would do that, and will no doubt discriminate against you further in the future for having tried.

Howdy. I hope there's room on this site for old gray Ex- SF types.
I was with Co C, 10th Group from 67 to 69 in Bad Tolz and the move to Devens.
I returned to civilian life after a tour with the 1st Cav in 70 but my green beanie has always had a place of honor in the house. Spent 32 years as a law enforcement officer and retired to Colorado in '06. I still keep in touch with a few of my old friends from the good old days. I've been cruising around this site for awhile and it brought back some old memories.
You young fellers make me proud.

My name is Jason, I am currently a college student in the northeast. I joined this board to gain information about sf and the army overall, as I plan to join the national guard in the near future while working towards OCS. I am primarily looking at sf support positions in either the 19th or 20th. Not looking to be Rambo, but would not mind packing his parachute until I get my "butter bar". Cheers.

Hello,
My screen name will give you some details. Served with 3/75th and ETSed month prior to 9/11. Served on ODA for OEF and OIF and South America with 20th. Been a good run so far.
My name is mkpat but most call me John. I'm currently in school working towards a bachelors. I've hit the 70 hour mark and really anxious to toss the books, but I reckon it's worth getting a degree. I joined here to gain information about the SF community. This site has been very helpful so far, thanks to all the good posters.

Hi. My name is Matt. I'm 24 years old. I recently graduated a college on Long Island, cum laude (with honors) with a Bachelors degree in Business Management.
I have always been interested in the military since I was a kid, particularly the various special operations forces of the U.S. military. My father is a historian, and has well over a thousand books in the house - most on military history. I suppose the apple didn't fall too far from the tree, as I've always enjoyed reading about military history as well. Recently I read Dick Couch's awesome book "Chosen Soldier." I always knew it was extremely tough and interesting training (to say the least!), but it was great to see exactly how a SF warrior is chosen and molded into the high-speed, low-drag operator that wears the tab. I also read "The Mission, the Men, and Me" by Pete Blaber, a former commander of 1st SFOD-D. It went over some training aspects, but the section on Operation Anaconda was truly eye opening. I'm currently reading "First In" by Gary Schroen, which is fantastic as well. The college professor with which I was closest to was in MACV-SOG. I really enjoyed spending time with him, talking about his time in the Army, especially his time in Vietnam. Hearing him recount similar tales to the ones I've read in books (such as 15 Months in SOG) were amazing.
I have great respect for U.S. military personnel of all services and MOS's, but I have the utmost respect for you heroes, the best of the best, the guys with the brains, brawn, and the balls. I really look up to you SF guys.
I am not sure where my career path lies, but one option I am currently leaning towards is joining the Army (Active Duty). I'm also looking into local law enforcement jobs, as well as other jobs in public service, but I'm leaning heavy towards joining up. I am still deciding whether to go for OCS or to just enlist. I've done a lot of research into both. I know you guys are all about setting 5, 10, and 25 yard goals and to just focus on those, but I'm the type of person that likes to have a clear-cut goal in mind when I do things. If I were to join, I would like to go either one of two ways: into the intelligence side, or as an 11B, then go for Airborne training, and then become a member of a special operations-capable unit such as the 75th Ranger Regiment (and possibly, if [and I know that is a HUGE if] I prove myself worthy, to SF). High goals, to be sure, but attainable goals if I have the heart and determination to persevere even under the most arduous circumstances.
Currently I'm not fit for military service as I'm overweight, but I'm on the right track to hitting my goals. I'm on a modified Atkins diet and I've already lost 70 pounds (I'm 6'5", started at a weight of 380). I've been working out (weight lifting) and doing massive amounts of cardio (jumping jacks, burpees, riding my stationary bike, jogging). When I set a goal for myself, I meet it. Reading this forum has given me many running and rucking tips, good workout information, much more insight into the world of SF, a chance to interact with you guys, as well as a great source of inspiration for my own goals.
Thank you guys so much for having such a great forum!
PS: Sorry for the long post! One of my shortfalls as a writer is that I'm somewhat long-winded. :o

Hello Group.
I have been lurking for a couple of months and it is time to become a legitimate member. I am currently attending SFQC (04-09) to become an 18A. I am assigned to C Co, 3rd Bn 20th SFG (A). Thanks for letting me in the forum.
Hello.
I joined this web site in March of this year. It has been a great resource for me thus far and I want to thank everyone for their wealth of knowledge. To briefly tell you about myself, I graduated in 2008 from University of California San Diego and have since been working as a mechanic and sales associate at a local bicycle shop. In February, I signed an 18X contract and will be reporting to MEPS for shipping on 20090505. I am looking forward to OSUT. Thank you once again for having me on the forum.
Hey guys, I am new here. I have been in the army 13 yrs, sf a little over 7 yrs and been to Iraq 6 times now coming up on 7. I am in 5th group, and anything else you want to know, I will be more and happy to tell ya.

Hello everyone.
Found this page through LF.net. Been a 19k, active duty since 2001 and have deployed to Iraq twice. Currently stationed at Camp Casey. Just dropped my SF packet and am shooting for a June 09 class if there's still openings. Hoping to learn what I can here so I can square my ass away before I head out. Casey/Hovey is kind of small for long-distance ruck training, but I'm making do.

Hello.
First, thank you for this website and all the information it provides. From reading here, I have already purchased "Get Selected" and learned lots of other valuable things in my decision making process.
I am a college grad, 29 yrs old, and have been waiting for 4 months of med waivers for an 18x contract, which looks to be secured. During the waiting game I have talked to many Navy Seals/EOD who think their program is great and now I have analysis paralysis. The decision will be made in the next week or so.
Thank you again for this amazing resource, and thank you for your service.

Hello,
My name is léo, I’m trying to be a decent 18A in the french SF ;-).
At the moment I’m still in the French 18A training course. I will be in charge in January. After a military duty for two years (light armored cavalry 1998) I have been enlisted in SOF for five years. I became NCO in 2002 still in SOF with sniper and close protection team skills. I’ve been commissioned in 2005.
I went to Afghanistan once and Africa several times (Ivory coast, Djibouti, Gabon).
A master thesis has been made in 2006 by myself about the relationship between conventional forces and special forces in military operations in urbain areas in western armies from 1970 to 2006.
I’m 32 and I’m still studying in order to prepare another thesis about the career of commissioned officers in US, UK, Swedish, IDF and French SOF. If anybody is interested by the subject, feel free to pm me about this topic.
I’m glad to find your community, we are not so close in France. I hope I could bring with humility something to your assembly.
Sorry for my poor level of english
Archade
You are not an 18A. You are a team leader. 18A is a USA SF MOS. You need to change your profile and quit using that term to describe yourself. Just say team leader.
Sir.
BTW, your English is fine Frog.;)
