Tip of the Spear articles

In case you haven't seen this yet...I recommend reading the GWOT related articles starting on pages 6, 7, 10, 12, 14, 15, and 28. NDD may like the history article on page 34.

Tip of the Spear

Thanks again for the lastest article! The searches I did were not very fruitfull in finding more articles and I was wondering how you obtain all of these articles. Are they strictly on internet and kept in PDF format (for AdobeReader) or in a Word format and where can I find the articles myself so I don't have to nag you for them every single time. I read them and they said that the articles were "...prepared and provided by the USSOCOM Public Affairs Office.", and not even that search came up with any good results (they were sub-par...not the whole article was there).

Thanks, Ben

They are open source files served by USSOCOM's public web site.

Tip of the Spear

Thanks, the information you gave lead right to what I wanted.

(The searches I did only gave me the cover of the articles)

I like page 18, "Special Forces Soldiers Memorialize Battle of Little Bighorn." According to family lore, my godson's great-great-uncle was there, except he was with the Sioux. I hope nobody holds that against him when he takes his shot.

Thanks, Dan. I showed my dad the June issue. MG Scholtes was one of the co van in my dad's battalion at about the same time my dad was there. He read the article with delight.

Well-deserved awards for MG Scholtes and MAJ Meadows.
