regret

Ive always wondered after all was said and done if any of the sf guys regret thier decision to be a sf soldier. I think what they do is great and inspirational. But i just wonder from an individual stand point do any of them look back at all the time missed with family, awful things that they see, and lack of personal time and say i wish i would have chose a different life. May be a dumb question but, but i really would like some thoughts on this. thanks

From a non-SF standpoint: There is always going to be a moment in your life that you stop and say what if?

I choose not to have regrets based on the fact that I don't go blindly into a situation. Ultimately I have little control over what happens, I can accept that. But not taking a chance or giving all of your effort is a good reason to feel regret.

Most on here (QP's or other soldiers) will tell you "life sucks", and follow that with a myriad of ways to percieve the outcome. Some will say suck it up, move on, or just plain shut up and get over it.

I hope you can make your decision without someone scaring you away from your goals. Don't dream of doing great things and then be scared of them. Make goals and try to achieve them.

One last thing, try to give yourself more time on the forum to get a good feel of others backgrounds. These questions could be answered over time with watching how people respond to one another. Read and heed the instructions posted about starting new threads, and posting to a forum.

Regards
SGT B

Here's my thoughts,

You write like you're either twelve or MTV is where you learned to use English.
If you wish to address the Special Forces members on this board learn to use proper English, i.e. capitalization.

Write like a punk; prepare to be treated like a punk.
