They're raffling off some really cool hunts in Texas this year. Each entry is about $10 (see fine print at the website for online entries).

Grand Slam- One winner receives this hunter's dream of four hunts for Texas big game: desert bighorn sheep, white-tailed deer, pronghorn and desert mule deer.

Wild Hog Adventure- One winner and up to three guests will take a long weekend trip to pursue the big and mean Texas wild boar.

Premium Buck Hunt- One winner and a guest will receive the ultimate guided white-tailed deer hunting experience in the South Texas brush country.

Whitetail Bonanza- Seven winners receive a high quality three-to-five day hunting trip for white-tailed deer. Each winner can bring a hunting companion.

Exotic Safari- Two winners, with a guest each, will have the chance to hunt exotics, including sable antelope, gemsbok, simitar-horned oryx, and axis deer.

Other hunts are waterfowl, birds and gator.

When I was in San Antonio, the quail hunting was fantastic. Needed to snake-proof your dogs, but the quail numbers were amazing.

The wife and I hunted whitetail on a ranch during the rut in December, 2010 near Leaky. We had a blast and she scored a nice 130 class 8 pt and a doe on her first ever hunting trip. I'd love to go on a quail hunt down there and bring my 140 yr old English SxS.

As to the hunt raffle, how can we afford not to enter?
