I said it on the Krauthammer thread...
Tort reform will not pass unless the government is ramping up to take over healthcare.
There are several politicians who have made their millions off malpractice lawsuits, many of them frivolous, including John Edwards who was almost elected into the office of the president. Between these politicians and the lobbyists it's not gonna happen - too many making too much money off frivolous lawsuits unless ht pocket being dipped into is the government's.
