Dalmore 21 on the rocks. The perfect single malt for a Southern man raised on bourbon.

Scotch. Famous Grouse. I don't drink much, I avoid beer, so Scotch it is.

Saving my money for a bottle of the Gold Reserve.

Whisky...(that would be what one ordered on the Auld Sod)...a single malt...there, it gets tricky...Taliskers, MacAllan...hard to say...depends on the mood...and the money...always depends on the money...

I voted Canadian, Historically(snicker) I have preferred Canadian/rye to all others with the occasional exception of excellent single malt scotches and fine bourbons. Lately, Knob Creek and Bookers have been luring me to the dark side, but Forty Creek and Pendleton have been holding their own, along with the ever popular Crown Royal.

that's my preference and I'm stickin to it

Mr Harsey may have tried this Canadian Whiskey. It is called Pendleton Canadian Whiskey (Hood River, OR)

Quote:
Founded in 1934, Hood River Distillers is the Northwest's oldest and largest importer and producer of distilled spirits. Pendleton Blended Canadian Whisky, Pendleton 20-Year-Old Director's Reserve Whisky, Broker's London Dry Gin, Cockspur Rums, Yazi Ginger Vodka, Knickers Irish Cream Whiskey, ULLR Nordic Libation and Spudka Vodka are just a few of the nearly 50 different labels and brands distributed by the company.
I have a customer that asked me to try it, and since I like Scotch I tried it neat. It is very good, IMO. Something about a Historic Rodeo and a bar called Ne'ter Buck or something like that.

I don't know the whole story behind it because my customer told me the story while I had my first glass. We drank enough that I forgot the story.

Anyway, a very smooth drink with great taste. It grows on you.

Bourbon, Any Bourbon.

Wild Turkey 101 12 yr or Russel's Reserve but basically any good KY Bourbon will do.

Booker's, when I can afford it, otherwise, Jim Beam. Either one on ice.

They put out a Kentucky Derby Bottle this year. Really nice and it is now sitting in my collection. Woodford Reserve is one of my top 3.

Jim Beam, JD...both excellent. However did get to try some Russian "Special Forces" vodka...a friend of mine in Oz married a Russian girl and her Dad was ex (?) KGB, a retired (?) colonel....brought some of it with him, very very smooth, straight out of the bottle. However, my man Jimmie and my friend Jack are always available.
