Let Islamic extremists take over another Middle Eastern country? Auew, what could possibly go wrong. I guess we can let Israel take care of it. I like Trump, I have voted for Trump. Twice. But I don't like his isolationist attitude. I am from the school that says take care of the problem over there before it becomes a problem over here.

Amen to that! Also, don’t let the problem fester too long or it will spread to other areas and take much more time and resources to deal with.

Trumps's "America First" is not the same as the isolationist America First of the past. My son was deployed in 2017 when Trump first came to power. He immediately removed the restrictive ROEs that let them destroy ISIS in short order. He's deployed, again, now and dealing with this under Biden. His deployment ends in January, though.

A radical Islamic regime in Syria is going to be very bad for Iraq and Israel. Maybe our intervention into the Middle East has gone full circle and we are now going to learn that it was a very bad move.
