Social Security

Went to the local SS office today and got signed up to start receiving my benefits. Now if I can hang on for another 4 months I will actually start to get them.

Congrats.

That's what I did & had plenty of time in advance. Sat down with some nice Chinese bookish-looking guy with his 3 screens who looked like he ate numbers for snacks. Helped with a decision over something. He showed how it would never begin to matter unless I managed to live to be 108. In contrast, wife's life was a bit different than mine (a bit more vanilla but don't tell her that). She did it online in her robe, it was a snap, and we're both happy campers.

Bottom line, ya do what ya gotta do.

Happy Thought of the Day.....It's been raining buckets since the beginning of the week, and will continue until next Tuesday.....I just want to run outside and jump in all the puddles like I was a kid again; get soaking wet, and do it all over again....Because, Life Is Good....at least for today.....

My happy thought of the day - my 14 y/o son and his soccer team are state champions and league champions for the year. They will be the warm-up match for the women's national team prior to their international friendly vs. China, then we're off to Hawaii for regional championships!

He's working hard, making memories and lifelong friendships

Showing up to work this morning and my team had a catered lunch for me and then presented me with a Gen 5 Glock 19 as a retirement gift. I have one of the best teams one could ask for. I wish them the very best....
