There are some GREAT young folks out there !

Cool beans. I just happened to be flipping across CSPAN & caught that.

2nd Grandson walks next week. Went to the party today at his dad's house where we all talked and had fun during a rainy afternoon.
plenty of good food to boot.

He has finished 1st at the County CTC as an electrician. Plans on working days for a electrical contractor with community college in electricity at night to get a journeyman license. He loves to help farm with Dad and loves to fish in local ponds.

I'd like to add both grandson's are good workers and never mind about getting their hands dirty. Both can shoot all the arms I own very well and pretty much
crack shots. The oldest grandson is quite the hunter with snow geese high on the list next to deer.

What are you using to cement them back after they are broken?

I use a special 2 part epoxy which is only spread down the middle of the stone, you want to leave at least 1/4 inch around the outside of the stone with out epoxy for an infil. The infil is 1 part white portland cement, 1 part hydrated lime and in this case 6 parts marble dust.

Happy Thought of the Day:

I always see hope in this great nation when people such as cbtengr do amazing deeds for those American citizens who have past before us. It is a wonderful thing that you are doing, and thanks for my happy thought of the day

Smile Buena Vista Colorado

Recently went to BV Colorado, and learned a ton about Topo maps, navigation, and even discovered a rural goat farm selling cheeses to the public! (Photo included of the sweet gal inside the little store...delicious cheese!)

Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all...they even have some hot springs that heal dry skin conditions! The Continental Divide is beautiful...as is all of the little 5,000 population of the town.

Thanks Holly for sharing the pics of what looks like a great (and literal) breath of fresh air.

I hope you had a wonderful time on your trip Holly, nice photos and they look very calming. I need a vacation like that right about now, thanks for giving me ideas on my next outing.

B52,

The air was very fresh, and low 50's at night where you could see a thousand stars.

Rita, will pm you the contact info of the place I stayed...it was so quiet, no TV's etc...type place. The deer were out all the time just roaming around.

Great spot for all things outdoors indeed!

Wrong FOG walked by the booth...

As the wife went into Turbo mode on her scooter with the grand-kids at the county fair, getting to engage one of these with some history lessons and fact-based electoral college information. All of which distilled down to "You lost, some other people won. Get over it; or not." Left her mouth agape & then had to go find [callsign] "Turbo" who can disappear faster than a disloyal Clinton staffer.

No Schadenfreude Pie at the fair so I made my own.

Two thoughts. I just got back from a trip to the west side of the dark continent with no major complications during the rotation, and I just started my new hobby. Home brewing....sort of....

Checked out that pathetic site, the disclaimer at the end was concentrated hypocrisy if I ever saw it! Sir you still have some optimism in you because it was brave of you to try and explain pesky little things to the noncomprehending.
