German police calling it terrorism

http://www.itv.com/news/story/2016-1...istmas-market/

Police: Berlin lorry crash 'deliberate' and 'presumably terrorist'

The lorry that crashed into a Berlin Christmas market, killing at least 12 and injuring dozens of others, was driven into the crowd "deliberately".

German police referred to the crash for the first time as a "presumed terrorist attack" in the early hours of Tuesday over Twitter.

Authorities in Berlin added that the Polish man found dead in the lorry had not driven the vehicle when it careered into the crowd in the German capital on Monday.

Police arrested another individual shortly after the attack, whose identity and nationality remain unknown.

German Police

German Police are now reporting they are unsure they arrested the right guy and the killer maybe still at large, armed and dangerous.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-38379157

Reports said he was arrested a good distance from the truck.

Another link with some more quotes from German Officials.

Perhaps it is the Russians trying to influence the German elections.

Merkel's coat-tails get shorter by the minute.

Well, at least their "incident to calling it terrorism" time is much better than ours.

German islamic terrorism

Turkish islamic terrorism. I think we are overdue for our own "socialist imported" islamic terrorism. I'm guessing DHS has the United States at Level Magenta by now......

Manhunt underway for a 24-year-old Tunisian WHO HAD BEEN UNDER GERMAN SURVEILLANCE for his jihadist ways. He is a part of Germany's largest jihadist network. There is a €100,000 reward.

Gee, the people they're watching keep pulling off attacks. Y'all think something might be wrong with how these governments are going about this?

Little different now but this morning (afternoon, Suddeutsche Zeitung time) they were still posting this suspects photo - which they say they're looking for, yet blur out his facial features. WTF?

As Divemaster points out, it's almost as if they don't really want to interdict these knuckleheads...

I think all the ones that have committed islamic terrorism here in the USA were also under surveillance of some sort.

I have a crazy idea, lets not bring anymore over here.

Awesome job by an Italian cop at a routine check point. We wish the poilce officer a speedy recovery.

Berlin attack suspect Anis Amri killed in Milan

The Berlin market attack suspect Anis Amri has been shot dead by police in Milan, Italy's interior minister says.
The man, who opened fire on police who asked him for ID during a routine patrol in the Sesto San Giovanni area in the early hours of Friday morning, was "without a shadow of a doubt" Anis Amri, Marco Minetti said.
One police officer was injured in the shootout.
Germany has been on high alert after the attack which left 49 injured.
Separately, police arrested two people in the German city of Oberhausen on suspicion of planning an attack.
The fingerprints of the dead man match those of the Tunisian main suspect in the Berlin bombing, reports in the Italian media say.
German officials have confirmed Anis Amri's fingerprints were found inside the truck that was used to kill 12 people and wound 49 others in Berlin on Monday evening.

Monitoring German presser via BBC.

They aren't confirming the kill, but kind of are. Europe is different like that.

Italy has confirmed, at the Minister of Interior level. It will take a couple of hours for the two countries to get on the same page. However, I'm pretty sure this will get foot on the chest confirmation.
