So far the FBI and protesters are running neck and neck for who the biggest idiot of this Charlie Foxtrot.

It appears Clive Bundy was arrested in Portland last evening.

Seems to me, the Feds are kicking a hornet's nest ... But I guess that's what they want to do.

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy arrested by FBI in Oregon
Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, the father of the jailed protest leader whose followers have occupied a federal wildlife refuge in eastern Oregon for the past 40 days, was arrested by FBI agents in Portland, Ore. late Wednesday.
Bundy was arrested as he stepped off a flight from Las Vegas. The FBI declined to provide a reason or other details, saying further information would be released by the U.S. Attorney's office in Las Vegas Thursday.
Authorities had for weeks allowed the occupiers to come and go freely from the remote refuge, leading to criticism from local and state officials that law enforcement wasn't doing enough to end the situation.
Bundy's son, Ammon, was arrested last month as he and other main figures of the occupation were traveling to the town of John Day. Four others were also arrested in that confrontation, which resulted in the shooting death of the group's spokesman, Robert "LaVoy" Finicum. The FBI said Finicum was reaching for a gun.
Most of the occupiers fled the refuge after that. Authorities then surrounded the property and later got the holdouts added to an indictment charging 16 people with conspiracy to interfere with federal workers.
The Oregonian newspaper reported that Cliven Bundy faces charges related to the 2014 standoff between federal agents and armed protesters on his Nevada ranch. The charges include conspiracy to interfere with a federal officer.
The Bureau of Land Management said at the time of the 2014 standoff that Cliven Bundy owed over $1 million in fees and penalties for trespassing cattle on federal property without a permit over 20 years. Bundy refuses to acknowledge federal authority over public lands.
Oregon Wildlife Refuge Takeover | FindTheBest
The standoff began after the Bureau of Land Management impounded Bundy's cattle that were found on federal property. However, federal agents later backed down and allowed Bundy's supporters to turn the cattle loose.

That's okay, the taxpayers will cover the bills and costs of litigation well into the next presidency. It's still Bush's fault!

Fusion Centers and kool-aid-drinking Force Protection briefers have been invoking 'the Ghost of McVeigh' for far too long. They need some new material & now they have it. (While the rat lines continue to funnel in some real threats.)

The nutty people are saying the FBI is rounding up people who participated in the 2014 Bundy Ranch standoff....maybe there is some truth to it.

Pretty good break down of the last 24+ hours ...
I won't post the whole article/link, but there is one section that I will
Quote:
Oregon militia standoff: dramatic final surrender at wildlife refuge – as it happened
Four remaining occupiers safely surrender to FBI
Nine new individuals charged today, seven arrested
Tense, hours-long negotiations broadcast live on YouTube
Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy arrested and appearing in court
Latest summary
The 41-day armed occupation at the Malheur national wildlife refuge ended this morning when the final four protesters surrendered after a dramatic standoff with FBI agents.
Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy was arrested in Portland and has been charged with six federal crimes stemming from his confrontation with the federal government in 2014.
Nine more Oregon militia members were charged today, meaning 25 people total are now accused in a federal conspiracy case. Two of them were still at large as of this afternoon.
Officials are now investigating the “crime scene” at the wildlife sanctuary and plan to begin efforts to “repair damages” caused by the occupation.
Quote:
New arrests across six states
Federal prosecutors have continued to make arrests associated with the militia standoff across the west today. In addition to the five charges the Guardian reported on earlier this afternoon, the US attorney’s office for the district of Oregon has announced that they have charged four more people for their roles in the occupation.
Of the nine individuals who have newly been charged today, police have arrested seven of them – across six states. The justice department is not naming the two individuals who have not yet been apprehended.
The two new protesters added to the federal conspiracy case are Wesley Kjar, a 32-year-old from Utah and Eric Lee Flores, 22, of Tuallip, Washington. The other arrests announced earlier are: Blaine Cooper, 36, of Humboldt, Arizona; Corey Lequieu, 44, of Fallon, Nevada; Neil Wampler, 68, of Los Osos, California; Jason Charles Blomgren, 41, of Murphy, North Carolina and Darryl William Thorn, 31, of Marysville, Washington.
The men are scheduled to make initial appearances today and tomorrow in federal courts in six different states. Like the 16 others previously indicted, they all face one felony county of conspiracy to impede officers of the US.

Liberty Activists And ISIS Will Soon Be Treated As Identical Threats

“Extremist groups motivated by a range of U.S.-born philosophies present a “clear and present danger,” John Carlin, the Justice Department’s chief of national security, told Reuters in an interview. “Based on recent reports and the cases we are seeing, it seems like we’re in a heightened environment.”

IMO..........the only clear and present danger most of the co-called 'domestic extremist' present is that they are seeing the establishment for what it is and are speaking up about it. I would go as far to say that this election and several of its candidates are proof people are sick of the established norms.

Along these lines, I have watched this event and considered how much similarity or difference there would be had this been 300 armed men occupying a courthouse, or 300,000 armed men camped out in front of Congress.

Wrong Herds
Uncle Sugar will start to worry about the Islamic Terrorists within the USA when the goat herders start grazing on Federal lands without paying fees.

Uh...no. Seeing the intel and LE reports daily, there are many misguided, impressionable, typically young folks out there that become enamored with the call of radical Islam or other "kill 'em all--let [pick your deity] sort 'em out" movements. Fortunately for the rest of society, they're usually dumb enough to do something to ping on the radar and get rolled up before they hurt others.
Most folks have no idea of the work that fusion centers and kool-aid drinking force protection briefers do every day to keep the whack jobs from hurting them or their families.

I truly, truly, hope things have become better in the 3 yrs since I left a garrison environment. Getting actual information that was locally or area-relevant (vs. citations of historical examples), upon which the CO (and folks on his planning cell) could make decisions about COA recommendations, resources, etc. was a pretty ponderous affair. I suppose it's also a function of the humans in the positions & further upstream (state JOC, etc.) I'll admit 3 yrs to get interior locks on a multi-office shiny-object-target type building amidst the guidance of "Run, Hide, Fight (as last resort if you must)" could've jaded me.

Radical Islam, I am with you there. But Bundy, the Hutaree and the others low IQ domestic clowns is a joke........a million bucks a day for the FBI to jack with the Bundy Bros Circus who were held up in an unoccupied building, out in a forest reserve....plus there have been reports of wackos like the SPLC and MB advising and providing intel to take out the competition.
And in the end Law Enforcement considers the Bundy's (and any one who disagrees with government policy) are domestic terrorists, Machete Man Mohammad Berry is a random act of violence and Black Lives Matter is a civil rights group......
Makes you wonder who the real wack jobs are.
