We (should) lead by example and with that I'd guess most of the green berets on this board don't smoke dope or do illegal drugs. I don't.
Every time I've done the OPM interview for a clearance PR the investigators always look at me funny when I tell them I never did pot even in high school or college.

When advocates say that legalization will put the cartels out of business, I just laugh. A multi-billion dollar criminal enterprise will just undercut the "state" and its taxes. Is legal pot cheaper than illegal now?

The legal pot business can't use the federally regulated banks. In WA and CO this has created a cottage industry in pot cash security. Here in WA there have been robberies of some legal pot shops.

Democratic Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper says his state’s decision to legalize pot “was a bad idea” that other state’s should avoid for several years until more is known.

“There’s a whole regulatory environment…that really regulates alcohol. We’re starting from scratch, and we don’t have a federal partner because [marijuana] is still illegal federally,” said Hickenlooper.

This is from Jan. 2015 It did not take long for the Colorado guv to realize what a mistake they made out there. Legalization is always touted as being a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in regards to state revenue, I do not see it. I have spent too much time having to deal with potheads to ever think that legalization is the answer. I do not have much time for those who abuse alcohol either.
