I feel this guys pain, we hear you brother (From America)!

I feel this guys pain. All I can say to him is: "I'm sorry for your loss and have shared your pain. You have my sincerest condolences."

(Go ahead and just mention "turkey bacon" and I'll personally ban you!!!)

British man’s bacon complaint goes viral

Published July 22, 2015
·FoxNews.com

A British man just wanted to enjoy some bacon with wife on Sunday.

But what started out as a quick trip to the store, devolved into what could only be described as every bacon lover’s worst nightmare.

After picking up a package of bacon at his local Tesco supermarket, Ben Roberts was floored to find just six pieces in a package that advertised seven. While many would simply be sad and move past the outrage, shock and disappointment were just too much for Roberts to bear. He took to Facebook, and in a 500 plus word rant poured his heart out to Tesco’s community page.

"SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! There was only six rashers of bacon. Six. I could not believe it! Mortified! I called my other half into the kitchen but quickly dismissed her as she did not seem to understand the problem," we wrote.

The clever and passionately worded complaint has gone viral, with over 16,000 shares and 80,000 likes.

But equally clever is the supermarket's response:

"Well, it sounds like you’ve gone through a whirlwind of emotions for a Sunday morning.

Like you my day, month, and year can be made by a top quality bacon butty. I’ll eat them in all the conceivable varieties: with ketchup or with brown sauce.

Sometimes, just sometimes, I’ll treat myself to what I call the Jamie special. This requires three slices of bread, some Brie, some mild salsa, bacon (obviously), a dab of imagination, and a

George Foreman grill (other lean mean grilling machines are available).

As a fellow bacon fan I can fully understand your shock, disappointment and unadulterated anger at finding only six rashers in the packet."

Tesco also said they will issue a refund as long he can provide original product information.

Others have since started sharing their own bacon woes and triumphs on social media.

"I also opened a 7 pack of tesco smoked bacon yesterday to find only 6 slices. No matter how many times I counted I could only find 6 in the packet! Unfortunately I have not kept my packaging so little I can do now," wrote Facebook user Joanne Ellis.

"Dear Ben. It would appear that I got your missing rasher of bacon on Sunday. I opened an identical packet of Tesco bacon and found I had eight rashers, not the seven as stated. Just so you're aware, the extra rasher tasted wonderful. Yours, Loz," wrote playful user Loz Birkett

Didn't Dirty Harry once state that "Nobody puts ketchup on a rasher of bacon." Or for that matter brown sauce ??

I get into this every time I visit my kids in London..

What they call bacon is not American bacon, not cured or smoked like ours.

One style is like Canadian, the other is like a pork rib roast, less the ribs.

To get American style you need to ask for streaky bacon. It's close but still not the same..

And don't ask about bangers, that tasteless other thing they eat for breakfast.

Most meals I go for a coffee and danish.

Maybe he needs to upgrade from Tesco to Selfridges to get that 7th piece of bacon...will only cost an extra 25 quid.

This is why I have trust issues...its like biting into a chocolate chip cookie only to have the harsh taste of oatmeal and raisin floating on your tongue.

EDIT: I wanted to post a breakfast from Ireland with the blood sausage...but I was totally disappointed in the "bacon"

That is pretty low - stiffing a man on his bacon. In Toronto and Vancouver, many bars/pubs have gone even lower. Some researchers found that many establishments were under pouring pints of beer, yet charging for a full pint.

Unfortunately Canada does not share Czech's passion for beer where the later once rioted over it.

Ahhh Czech beer . . .

My MIL tried to put kippered turkey in my cart at Sam's instead of my usual 7#'s of wright's hickory smoked Bacon. I told her that she either take that blasphemous kippered krap out of my cart, or she would find herself walking home.

I eat what ever is in the box of the Trader Joe's cooked bacon, usually 15 slices, some times more, rarely less. I just relish the smokey salty extascy.

It may well kill me, but I'm dying happy.

Sorry, some idiot told me "kippered" meant shredded and put back together and it stuck in my brain.

She put a turkey product masquerading as a joyous pork product that to mention both together constitutes blasphemy.
