To give you an idea of what is actually happening in South Texas, yesterday there was a 4 hour standoff in La Joya where 2 Edinbug police officers were shot by a Texas Syndicate gang member armed with a fully automatic rifle. Today a state game warden was assaulted by a Coyote bringing dope or people into the country.

The shooter yesterday was an illegal alien and was wanted for capital murder of an illegal alien in Edinbug, TX. I Go to www.themonitor.com and read about the crap that goes on daily. There is a full fledged war raging just across the border. Google Reynosa, Matamoras, Miguel Aleman, San Luis Potosi (all in Mexico) to see what the cartels have done.

Think back to the scene in Jaws where the sheriff closed the beach and the politicians had a fit because of the image it gave. The same thing is happening here.

That's not quite true. Many are indeed turning themselves in; however there are a whole hell of a lot more that never do. There was an excellent interview with a retired BP agent by the name of Zach Taylor which is well worth the watch. The Texas National Guard troops are headed to border on the orders of Republican Gov. Nichols said troops will be armed for their safety, but when asked if their weapons would be loaded would say only that ammunition would be in magazines.
