Life Skills

Once a Combat Engineer always a Combat Engineer. I put that training to good use today digging this trench to run LP to my shop. I am too old for this shit .

Looks like a beer break might have occurred somewhere in the middle of that dig?

Good day on the range. Common sense rules, a few great friends, everyone helping everyone.

Eight head shots at 100 with a friends Garand. Headed over to the shoulder dislocation thread in a minute.

Finally zeroed my .223 Wylde with an extra Bushnell 3x9 that was laying around.

Great pistol drills. Great groupings with off hand.

Going back

Went back to Winterskol....first time since 1969. Met with the most amazing hospitality I can remember. Aspen was looking good Ashcroft was as peaceful as it gets and stopped off at old Camp Hale on the way back.....Driving through the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in a snow storm (Tennessee Pass)...

Here's MR2's target on the left, mine is on the right.

Mine is unsupported, offhand, cold barrel at 100 yards.

MR2's is supported, warm barrel, 100 yards.

Just got a bass boat this past Friday, and we had a 72º day on Sunday. Took 'er out, and it ran great. The first mate thought so too

My company likes to do fun - sometimes silly - things for the employees. This week we are having Olympic games (yes a bit late...lol)

They kick started the week with a Breakfast for Champions. Cheesy scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage and pancakes. Pretty tasty actually.

My event is today...rubber band archery! I've been shooting at people and things all morning.

Other events will include table top football, parts toss (think egg toss), company trivia and ping pong tournaments.

Happy thought this evening...so far the tornado sirens in DT OKC have gone off 8 times in a couple of hours...and we are still here at ground zero of OKC Memorial, and only wind and hail.

Think they may be testing the DT batteries of the darn things.

Ah well, weather in Oklahoma...it can be tricky!
