Two observations from today:
1. Alabama is, well, wow
2. Johnny Football can bring it

Some blow outs - few critical or ranked match-ups this past week...although Fresno State/Boise State was fun to watch if you like offense...results below.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/schedule

This coming week/weekend should be more competitive - schedule below.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/schedule/_/week/5

The LSU/Georgia game should be fun to watch.

3:30 PM EST No. 6 LSU at No. 9 Georgia CBS

I was at the MD/WVU game. WVU's offense didn't bother to show up. Totally disrespected their defense's effort.

Georgia versus LSU is a barn burner...over matched BC played well against powerful FSU.

Shaping up to be an interesting college football Saturday.

Can any team remaining on the schedule knock off Bama? Anything is possible...but look at the schedule. LSU appears to have the best shot.

A few noteworthy games this weekend.

12:00 PM EST No. 25 Missouri at No. 7 Georgia

12:00 PM EST No. 12 Oklahoma vs. Texas

3:30 PM EST No. 17 Florida at No. 10 LSU

4:00 PM EST No. 2 Oregon at No. 16 Washington

The FSU/Clemson game is shaping up to be a good one - two very good quarterbacks in a top 10 matchup (maybe a top 5 by then).

It will be interesting to see how FSU comes off their destruction of Maryland last week.

Mack Brown

might get a pink slip if UT has another showing like last year's shootout.

You mean a promotion to Dodd's old job. Then instead of blaming failure on his ACs he can fire coaches that dont run his playbook. Think Jerry Jones at the college level.

*in the interests of full disclosure, I bleed maroon.

And did anyone else hear Fineman on Gameday call Lane Kiffen the "Miley Cyrus of college football"? High Comedy.
