Sharia Creep

Looks like Sharia creep to me.

On Friday, over 1,000 activists gathered in Dearborn, Michigan, to rally against free speech, protesting an online anti-Islamic video some still claim is the motivation behind protests in the Middle East.

"There is a need for deterrent legal measures against those individuals or groups that want to damage relations between people, spread hate and incite violence," said organizer Osama Siblani, a publisher for Arab-American News and self-proclaimed "moderate."

They want an international law that would supersede American law about free speech, as it relates to anti Mohammed speech.
Talk about a slippery slope.

They want to change the Constitution, but that'll never happen and they know it. What they would like to do is create an atmosphere such that any critisism of Islam or the Prophet would lead to ostracism and media attention. So that any negative publicity regarding Islam or Muslims should be regarded as unfounded racism and bigotry. (That's pretty doable.) Yet, they should be free to speak their minds and behead anyone that they like. The Brits have completely caved to this pressure.
Remember the Florida pastor that was going to burn a Koran? Admittedly that was stupid with the fighting raging in Iraq and Afghanistan at the time. But still, it was the pastor's First Amendment right of free speech. CNN, ABC, NBC, etc. descended like a plaque on the guy and shut him down. If it were a bunch of jihadis in Detroit burning a Bible, an American flag or the Constitution, the media have "celebrated" their rights to voice their opinion. Which, unfortunately, is truly their right. Wouldn't it be a shame if they burned Dearborn in protest?

There is. Its called criminal law.

And it doesn't involve stoning or any other hudud. Sorry there, Osama.
I was thinking there is too, the Alien & Sedition Act - target Imams preaching hatred, violence, and undermining of our society. Careful, what you wish for Osama, ol' boy, ya might just get it.

I find it interesting that they are totally against anyone "slandering" their religion, however, slander all other religions as they feel their's is the only "True" religion. That is the main thrust of the laws they want passed as they feel only their religion is true, thus no law can protect the false religions.

I too would like to see some of these guys deported based on anti sedition and fomenting the over throw of the government laws.

The US Military

The US Military has burned more Bibles than the Florida Pastor has burned Korans.

I didn't see large mobs of Christians rampaging through US cities beheading non-Christians.

Muslims say that is the reason Christianity is not a true religion, no passion, no violence to show peace.

Whatever.

Anti-Islam speach. I can see it now the name Muhammed shall not be spoken by the infedel. So, now on the evening news and amongst polite society when any non Muslim whishes to utter the name muhammed he will have to refere to it as the M-word.
