SF BHT, It's more like go to the fifth road, at the third rock turn right go over two washes and we are the big brown hogan next to the smaller hogan with the goats outside. You can't miss it.
I run EMS out here. It gets entertaining at times.

The route in its entirety ran not quite 300 miles for 40-50 delivery stops (this is normal).
The pictured delivery is less than 10 miles from Kayenta.
(There's also the 200 mile round-trip commute).
<edit>
These guys filmed some stuff at the northern limit of my delivery area (about a dozen miles north of pictured delivery).
You can see El Capitan (Agathla Peak) off to the right at the very beginning of the video.

Coming of Age
My son is four years old. Today, on the way home from preschool, he told me that he was a big boy, now, and that it was time for his first gun. I grinned and made a u-turn, then headed right for Bass Pro. I've been waiting for this day. Figured I'd let him pick and choose. I was pleasantly surprised when he made a selection that truly suited him.
We walked out with a Daisy Model 10. As soon as we finished shooting, he asked me to send pics to his mom so she could "see me shoot like a soldier, like her". We're ready for her to come home. Until then, I believe we've found a new hobby to keep us occupied

My son (9 y/o) informed me he was videotaped by his Phys-Ed teacher performing chin-ups, sit-ups, push-ups and the shuttle run, and these videos will be played for all classes to demonstrate proper form and technique.
He currently holds the school record for sit-ups and chin-ups and is playing elite soccer with boys a year older.
Not bad for a man who was told he'll never have kids and should be dead.

I just received a message from a former student who is now an architect and just bought his daughter a miniature pig she'd been wanting for a pet - his daughter named it "Bacon" and he thought I'd enjoy the irony of it.

#2 step-son came by to show off daugher's outfit worn to her recital & happened to mention that after some years of slogging as a working whenever he could, sandwiching classes whenever he could, studying & doing course work whenever his open eye-lids permitted, single-dad (to 2), he will be graduating in May - made the Honor Roll, a hair away from Dean's List (which he's slightly pissed about).
After doper wife left, he stepped up and did it all, although there were some easy babysitting chores negotiated for Grandma & 'papa' to watch them sometimes where we snuck in more of the 3-R's.
No EBT card, no Obamaphone, doing without, keeping eye on the prize.
and yes, there will be some kind of party. Right now I think he'd like to just go back up to Jellystone Park for the summer as a lifeguard & maybe take a nap.

Spent a few hours last night reconnecting with a brother after a 35 year break. Swatting lies and swapping flies. Phase I, Weapons, 300F-1, Med Lab, Phase III - two years of barracks, classes, and combat ops on Hay Street.
Remember getting shot at in the parking lot of that club in San Antone? No? Why of course not, you were passed out in the back of the van... Those were the days.
