SFC Greg Cardot (RIP)
Greg and I served in 7th together and hadn't seen each other in years, we bumped into each other as we were leaving for Haiti... My company was going to PR for the training piece Gregg was with A Co, IIRC... we laughed and spoke of getting a beer opon our return from this deployment. We never got to have that beer.....
But I will say that it was also my company C Co 3/3 that recieved him the night he was brought home. We met him at the Fayetteville airport, my guys escorted him off the plane and into the hearse. The funeral director asked for someone to come to the funeral home and check his uniform. This I did, not knowing when I got there, that Greg was wearing it.
I did get to say good bye at that time...he is missed. RIP Brother, CSM-H
