Skinning a deer with a golfball.
Well this is a first for me. Pretty darn inventive if you ask me.

I can remember as a kid seeing farm friends do something similar with the tractor PTO drive wheel in the barn. You cut off the feet and head. The skin would peel off like your GF's nickers.. 
We also did this with rabbits and small critters,, by just using our hands..
This allowed the hide to stay in one piece for taming purposes..

I wonder if it would work on a wild pig? Thicker, tougher hide....

We didn't skin our domestic hogs, we shaved them and left the hide on, except for the ones we made into cracklins. It makes the rind on fatback, hams, and shoulders.

I've been using this technique for going on three years it works really well. The nice thing about it is you do not have torch the hair afterwards. Because there is no hair left on the animal. Couple of personal pointers, make sure your hanging it from a pretty good support, or your branch is not rotting on the inside. Also nylon cord seemed to work best. I seem to remember breaking some 550 cord.

I managed to pull this off a few times in the past using an ATV as well as a truck, fast and easy!

I've done this with the winch on my 4wheeler winch and a rope to the truck. Yep you need a sturdy support for the tie off point.

My brother and I have been skinning deer like this for at least 20 years. Just never used a golf ball always used a small rock.  very fast and effective method.

3 months until "the roar" here......I'm going to have to try that one...assuming the animal is cooperative enough to drop dead near my Ute, rather than 7km and 3 features away.
I can honestly say I learned something new today.
