Happy Thanksgiving.

For all the guys downrange and recovering...stay safe and get well. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm thankful that there are still men and women who choose to serve and sacrifice for this country regardless of the prevalent attitudes in our society.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, especially those far from home and family.

Thanksgiving Day, 1970... I broke down eventually, put on my Greens, and went to the "Consolidated Mess" for dinner with my new family.

Not that I have ever seen here.. That is from KAF to BAF.

Today we had guys taking it to the enemy and sending more than a two dozen to see if Houri is true and if they get greeted by their 72 virgins.

So a Happy Thanksgiving for all!!!

I'm giving that poetic re-pop to the grand-daughters, thanks.
When you come down...

Thanks all for the memories. Kinda miffed lately at current DFAC policies hereabouts where even after the mil career they used to invite the civ employees on base (RSVP) and I'd happily go pay the full surcharge whatever and spend some time with some Soldiers.

But the alternative works, as many did for me in some far off places...
One can always invite a Soldier home to their table.
