Big deal! I did that coming down the Brauneck on a pair of White Stars once.
Didn''t get credit for it though.
Felix made a better landing than I did. I'm surprised he could do a stand up with balls that big. Congrats!
And yes, I was drunk.

Then you may fall into the category "Probably, but not verified" with Locheed test pilot Bill Weaver. He and his test engineer had an SR-71 break up around them at 78,000' and Mach 3.2, also over New Mexico. He survived but the rear seater didn't.

I lived in the area and remember it well.

I heard that his suit is being looked at my NASA as a foundation for future spacesuit designs.
I knew Col. Kittinger (Ret.) set his own jumping record from a high altitude balloon, but am unfamiliar with the other incident mentioned.

You didn't come off as disrespectful, it was just that I did think the feat was that great, it's been done before decades ago. Jumping with no parachute and expecting to live IMO is much crazier!

Good point, Team Sergeant. I admit I was wowed. But then I am an Air Force type.

Spoken like a true Air Force spotter.
I think he must have been the DZSO for a jump or two I was on as well.

Mr. Baumgartner was a guest on this morning's episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The video of the interview is here. He had a HD camera on his suit and they showed a few seconds of his spin.
The footage will be part of a National Geographic special that will air by and by.

I don't know, did he kill anyone when he hit the ground?
IMHO, there are a lot of paratroopers from WWII who would disagree with you.
