Possible WI Non-typical contender
For those who like it when the weather chills, and the neck starts to swell...

We'll see after the drying and re-measure. Certainly a dandy.
Some add'l pics attached.
Edit: not mine, colleague's brother. When this pig got arrowed I was up north a bit dancin' with smallies. Fun year, drought or not.

It looks a lot like our native whitetails here in Texas, only much bigger.

Yup, you do grow some phenomenal racks down there.
Alas, ours just take up more space in the freezer.

Interesting rack. Nice sized buck.
When I was at Fort Hood, TX and saw a doe running around I thought it was a big dog. The buck's racks get nice, but their bodies are much smaller than up here.

Very nice rack! I am guessing it's been feeding in Iowa corn and bean fields !

Not even in the typical (no pun) prime corn country for that WI region though they grow plenty, beans also, even some potatoes in the area. NE & NCen Iowa has some bucks in a class all their own too.
cant hardly: Your instincts are OK; there are some river-bottom bucks also still to be taken out of that area you speak of, if one can get in there AND not get busted by the duck hunters...
We're all blessed with some pretty good country up this way overall.
