It should be a dimmer switch. The floor starter button was on the right side so you could heel the gas pedal and push the starter with your toe.

Ditto but mine was 10 yrs older; she couldn't prove anything but I got my ass kicked anyway which only steeled my resolve to:
Deny everything; admit nothing; make counter accusations.

So where's all the youngsters' google-fu expertise on that one? We're not quite talking paleontology here.
