Having just googled, "JOHN ELDREDGE, Wild at Heart," there seems to be a debate ongoing about his book and theories. My question is what in the world your above statement has to do with the topic at hand?

Well in all honesty...I haven't always been as successful as I might lead others to believe in that regard. My wife still refers to me as "the biggest kid in the house." To which I normally reply, "nuh-uh...am not, am not!"

I also questioned the Eldridge writing and the only part of the book I really took seriously was the quote from the book, as I have 4 sons and didn't want anyone teaching them to play "dolly".

I think the relavance is that men that do all the things above, invent games with violence etc. grow to become protectors from "wrong doers" (or grow the opposite way & use violence in a negative way).

I used the church example only from my experience in dealing with the way things are run in the church I attend. Every year I take the "confirmation class" to "Promisedland paintball" grounds for a one day "retreat". (Last year "Charlie Two" joined us, it was a blast!) There is a group of women that simply dispise the idea, and every year the pastor has to talk to them and remind them that, that is what boys do. they play "good guys n bad guys" etc. And every year they still pitch a fit.

If we allow those women that want things "toned down" to make the decision of:
"should we stop them from playing good guy/bad guy and make them play something not so masculine" or "lets not keep score, everybody wins!"

then we will not have any young men ready and willing to pick up a rifle and stand a post.

IIMO, that a good balance of both sides of the coin will do what 1stindoor posted from the article:

IMVHO, All H-woode actors of today, with the exception of a few that volunteer for the USO or support our troops, can go F-themselves, and their self-deluysion of granduer. And, most of the females as well.

Wish more TV time was dedicated to REAL Heroes, like Our Armed Forces personnel, and their bravery, courage, and sacrifice.

As a little girl, I loved playing with the Army men set my brother had...and my favorite guy was, Bazooka, b/c he just looked like the coolest guy with the biggest gun.

And I agree, "Agression is part of the masculine desgin," and I love that about real men.

But IMNSHO, there is a difference between that, and males who have to feel "manly" by keeping females subservient with degradation and violence towards them.

But it sounds like the women you are reffering too have never stepped outside their own shang-ri-la lives and cared about anything more than themselves.

Too bad for them, they are sheeple, and deserve whatever befalls them until they pull their own heads out.

"Puppy" was involved in some sort of made-up game the kids were playing.

I couldn't quite here what they were discussing, but eventually the 5 year-old spoke up about an apparent rules violation.

My sister had a Barbie doll collection, listed, 'Malibu Barbie' had a condo, and red corvette. 'Divorced Barbie', came with everything.

One set, 'Barbie with Ken'. I later learned the disintion of Barbie sometime hahaving "sex - play house with Ken", dress Ken in metro-sexual clothes with obedience collar, etc., but she "comes" with GI Joe.
