Get out from under your rock, better yet. I bet you read MSNBC and other web sites like them. Go back there and find your proof.

ISI trains local insurgents within FATA and Tribal areas for a very long time. Unfortunately it goes back to when we worked with them during the CIRC 80’s (Soviet War). We taught them well and they ran like hell doing it.

TR yes we should start doing that. But A. Q. Khan would just be Pakistan escape goat again for sell more Pakistani nuclear weapons and Pakistani technology off to the highest bitter. Khan had provided Iran, Libya, and North Korea. Like to see what will come out of the Spring Libya upraising.

They have always been play this flip flop visa games. To get in to that Counrty you have to give so much information it's not funny.

I would start to wonder if they (ISI) would be knocking on peoples doors here in the state. Hitting people up at their local US City Bars and clubs, golf courses, ETC.

Pakistan has been playing those games for at least 3 decades. I'm not surprised they're chasing down informants, their ego got brutally smashed by that superb operation carried out on their backyard by DEVGRU personnel. Not to forget about how badly they were exposed in front of world's public opinion in terms of turning their back on OBL. I mean, how could the almighty ISI not know about OBL 's presence when the agency did? C'mon...
I could be wrong, but shouldn't CIA protect its local assests to a certain extent? I mean, they spend millions in buying cooperation from local tribal leaders in A-stan, how could a few relocations affect their budget? If you don't wanna do it for the people, do it for OPSEC and viability for future operations.
Just sayin'

As long as we have troops in Afghanistan, unless we are prepared to kowtow to Russia for alternative resupply routes, Pakistan has leverage to be a major nuisance as long as we use their soil for resupply. India has beaten Pakistan every time they go to war, they just never keep the captured territory. Indian interests align well with America's, there are many reasons to grow this relationship outside of irking Pakistan

Even U.S. military personel? Do they have to fill out forms like an SF86 questionaire to get into Pakistan? That would be very unsettling for an American citizen to have to list his last 10 years of adresses and relatives for the priveledge of being there. I know that the Iraqi interpretors that immigrate here have to give such info, or so I'm told.

What going on with your security clearance, SF 86? What is your unit security admin teling you? There are other security question threads, post if applicable.

We're here to help.

Remain safe.
