Question Another SEAL Team 6 member comes out.....

Another former SEAL Team 6 comes out of the woodwork............

He was in 150 combat firefights!..........

Do they (SEALS) have a poser board to check this guy out to see if he's for real.......

i wouldn't think Chuck is a poser, Bro. I don't know how he managed to get in that many scrapes in 8 years, but, he's sure written some stuff:

Mark Divine has him listed as one of the former members of that unit on his notable SEAL's webpage or what have you.

I have commo with the SEAL rep for the SOA, he has access to their data base and is pretty quick on letting me know if somone is not the real deal. With the exception of one guy, all I've asked to be vetted have been.."POSERS" If you need someone checked out give me a holler...

That's a shame. Now one of the local TV stations here won't stop playing that movie due to recent events. "Winning!"

No doubt the MaSheen will be back to take out UBL in Navy SEALs 2 link (not the best mashup, but it's only a matter of time before more come out)

Local pastor made up elaborate Navy SEAL tale

Story here

Quote:
In the wake of the dramatic Navy SEAL raid on Osama bin Laden's compound earlier this month, it was perhaps to be expected that some expansive soul would step forward to claim the prestige of a fabricated tour as a SEAL for himself. Such tall tales are not uncommon, after all, amid high-profile military actions.

This time the exposed fabricator was a preacher--though people who monitor this brand of public lie note that members of the clergy are often tempted into such misrepresentations. More curious still, the prevaricator in question seems to have lifted at least some details of his account from the 1992 Steven Seagal SEAL-themed blockbuster, "Under Siege."

Teddy,

Chuck is real. I have known him for the last almost 30 years. I have not seen or heard from him in the last 10-15 years, but he is the real deal. Though after having known him for quite a while I was a little disappointed about the book having been written. Writing it seemed to go against everything that he said previously. That photo does look a little like Chuck. If that is him today, it looks like that cancer that he had took alot out of him. He looks like shit in that photo.

He was in Beirut for about a year or so, back when the city was nothing more than a shooting gallery.

Yeah, I never did like that movie enough to have watched it more than once or twice. However, IIRC, Chuck also had a hand in writing "Red Planet" with Carrie Ann Moss. At least she is much easier on the eyes.
