rappelling...

who just goes rappelling? That's such a touristy thing to do. Them boys need to learn how to climb!

Anyway, sounds like the NYPD did a GREAT job. Kudos!

Those were some pretty challenging conditions to be flying in. Good that the rescue pilot had 28 years of experience and is also former military.

Fantastic job by the aircrew. Pity they lose out on the customary "thank you for saving my ass" libations given that the cadets aren't old enough to buy. I'm sure the Corps of Cadets will have plenty of imaginative ways to reinforce the lessons learned. Hopefully they're trainable (in any event, they'll make great object lessons for their peers). Wonder if the City bills the Army?

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

In the snow. With holes in their shoes.

Kudos to the rescuers...that must have been one hell of a situation.

Add the cost of rescue to their Active Duty Service Obligation.

Lesson learned, debt paid.

I'm confident that if they didn't have them before, they will shortly.
