I had the pleasure of meeting the author, Eric Blehm, at SFA Ch 75's November meeting. He is a fine young man, and a very good writer. Hearing him talk about meeting the parents of one of ODA 574's casualties, Dan Petithory, was very moving. He was truly humbled by their desire for the truth to be told, no matter what.
He was very respectful of those whose exploits he chronicled. Though he had brought books, he left them in his car until asked if he had any to sell, and then sold them at a deep discount. If you have not read this book, you should.

Crap! This FOG needs a new eyeglasses prescription, or a bigger iPhone screen. I missed that error in the title completely.
And I did so well with the gorilla...

Great Big Teddy!! Brings to mind an article in "The Drop" a few years ago with our folks on horseback and speaking of the Afgani leader in terms of a fighter.
Nice to see Mike back Zonie.

The NRA Life of Duty has created a web series about ODA 574. So far two videos are up, with the third to come in August. The author Eric Blehm helped with the series, along with members of ODA 574.

The third video is now up on the NRA Life of Duty website. It is pretty emotional when they speak with the loved ones of the men lost.

Thank you for the link to that series; compelling stuff having been familiar with their mission a bit earlier, and then to read that outstanding book.
Salud and prayers to all.

Reading it now, just heard about it. It is apparently not widely known, or at least hadn't trickled down to my level. A good read, important message. I am used to SEALs...everything is a open faced sandwich.
