Special Forces, Then & Now..

I was passed this link from a friend. It's a 50 year old video from "The Big Picture" TV show, this segment stars Hank Fonda and the guys of the 7th and 10th SFG(A).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyL8N14sak8

Enjoy..

Thanks for posting this, JJ! I used to love "The Big Picture" as a kid. Between that, "Victory at Sea," and other shows - no wonder I grew up "warped" (in the eyes of others... not mine! ).

And The Twentieth Century narrated by Walter Cronkite!

The SF video sure brought back memories of SFTG and life in Bad Tolz - one thing I noticed in that old program was the TM XO wasn't cranking the G-43 generator for the AN/GC-109 - not very realistic and the waste of the talents of a good, young, energetic LT.

The recruiting poster of the 5th SFG TM SGT and headgear being worn indicates the film was made before the deployment of the 5th to RVN 1 Oct 64.

Thanks for the post. Remarkable piece from 50 years ago!

When I got to the end of the "Big Picture", as an added bonus, there was a post for a book I recently read, "The Only Thing Worth Dying For" with the New America Foundation.

The tube might be sucking me in today!

Very cool!
And the mission music is just as I always imagined it in my head.
