"BAGHDAD — More than 1,000 U.S. service members packed an open field on a chilly Baghdad day, Dec. 4, to watch the 2009 “Tour for the Troops” at Sather Air Base.

Pop newcomer Jessie James, comedian Carlos Mencia and rebel rocker Kid Rock took part in the event sponsored by the Air Force Reserve.............."

I'm a fan of anybody who entertains the troops.

Well some Special Services guys and a Vietnamese band.
Never got to meet Maggie.
I think Bob Hope flew over us once on the way to a really big base.

That's why I'm a fan of anybody who will do it these days.

I saw Bob Hope in 1972 at Utapao RTAFB in Thailand. I was with some guys at Pattaya for a couple of days when he came so we went over to see him. In 1973 we also had the Skip Young who played Wally on the Ozzie and Harriet Show stop at our A Camp. A Jolly Green was flying him and a country band from NKP to Udorn. They had to fly right over us to get there so the crew told them we were there and they agreed to stop off for a show. That prick Skip Young drank my last case of beer while the show was going on!! But the band had a female singer who was the first round eye female I had seen in almost 2 years so I was distracted...

Angelz

Not sure if any of you gents ever see music videos by Trace Adkins or Brooks and Dunn, but these ladies from the Purrfect Angelz have been in a few and are quite a sight to behold. I've seen them twice up at Thunder In The Rockies in Loveland, CO and one other time while pulling some liaison duties in Taji, Iraq back in 2007. That's where I took this photo. I believe all the performers are former NFL cheerleaders and there is a reason they can only do G-rated shows for the troops.
