Q Course by Phase on TDY-NG
I don't know if this is possible, but would SWC let NG guys attend the Q by phase on TDY orders? If so, how? And if not, what is the reason?

I don't think the Guard is going to want to eat that bill.
The SFQC is designed to be run continuously (more or less) because each phase builds on preceding phases. In the olden days, there was an SF correspondence course with short, two week resident phases. The program was, IMHO a failure and produced SF soldiers with a significant training deficit to their full-time counterparts.
If you want to earn the beret and Tab, plan on dedicating yourself to it, or just go to the surplus store and buy them.

I took the SF Correspondence Course for Operations & Intelligence (llF) while stationed at Bad Toelz. I had to stretch to keep up with my peers.

And don't forget to send us a nice color photo with the tab, your name tag, and face clearly visible. A signed confession would speed things up too. (Goat Bandit, I know this is not your intention, Good luck.)

Roger. It's not about me wearing the beret or tab thats for sure. I'd actually prefer if there were no berets or tabs. Only your character and actions to distinguish who's who. Trying to find 1-2 years to set aside to attend the Q is going to be difficult. I work in the firearms industry and it might be more productive to continue working on these projects to get the right gear into the operator's hands. There are a few guys in my position. It was tough just to get three weeks off for selection. Getting it done by phase would be ideal.

Project yourself 25 years forward.
Will you be happier you earned a beret or continue working on these projects to get the right gear into the operator's hands.
Life is filled with tough choices.
As for me, I'm quite pleased to have the beret and the tab and the recognition. Maybe because I'm looking back on it and not ahead to it. Good luck.

I think it's time for another J.O.B.
Just Over Broke. You only work hard enough, so you won't be fired, and they pay you enough so you won't quit. Think about it, you can always get another J.O.B. You found this one while looking for another, right?
I concur with DOZER, no regrets!
Finding a technician to mill metal is easy, finding a QP is a bit harder.
Good luck,
WD

According to you its the ideal way.
In reality, the ideal way is to commit yourself to the course.
What are you gonna do when it comes to deploying?
