Being to Muscle Bound for SFAS

Hello gents, my question is regarding whether or not I am currently to muscle bound for SFAS. I am 72in. tall and currently tip the scales at 245 @ 11%bf, I consistently run a 250 plus PFT in the Marines. I'm not a speed demon when it comes to my running but I ran a 21:45 on my last 3 mile run. I am training like a mad man right now, ruck marching and the whole nine, but am I currently just too big for SFAS? I ask this so I that if I am graced with the opportunity to go for SF, that I will be able to get my body at a weight that will allow me a greater chance to succeed. I appreciate any input.

There is no such thing as too big.

There is such a thing as too slow.

I recommend using the search button before starting new threads.

Do not forget about being agile and flexible.

I have seen some guys bulk up and be as strong as an OX but not be able to climb, crawl, etc that is needed to get in and around targets. Also I have seen RAMBO body types that have fallen out on the long hauls as they could not function. Muscle with no fat does not get you very far if you can not sustain the nutritional requirements. Only so much you can carry in a ruck apart from your mission gear. Do not forget that if you are a giant your Buddy's may not be able to carry you off if needed.

Keep reading and searching like TR said.

Just my 2 cents

No Need to respond, read as TR said.
