Happy New Years to all. My name is Corey, i'm a 23 year old physical education and community health major who has decided to put my last year on hold to follow through with a dream I have had since I was younger. I came across this website and it has been very helpfull, I have literally spent the last 2 days searching all over it looking for all answers to questions that I have had. I am in the process of enlisting, just waiting on a medical waiver then will be making my way to MEPS. I admire the work that you gentlemen do and hope in the future to be following in your footsteps.

First Post by an FNG

Very interesting and informative site. I spent 7 years in the ARNG as an 11B in a SCT Plt, then 3 more in the ANG in a SFS. Been working as a Probation Agent (adult felons) for about 14 years now, train DT and firearms, execute warrants and searches. Spent about 3 years on the local FD went thru some USAR training also took an EMT class. Just trying to keep up on the tactical side of things.

I appreciate being allowed on the site.

Greetings,
I had served in OIF as a grunt in a line platoon, and after that I knew where I needed to go... I attended SFAS when it was 24 days long, Airborne after that, started and finished the Q course without recycling. I was MOS Q'ed at Eureka Springs and took language blitz in Russian. After one tour in Pineland I graduated July 2008, and now I'm serving in 20th SFG (A) just south of the Mason-Dixon line.
I've been viewing this site for a few months now and admire all the knowledge & wisdom delegated through out this site, and realize I still have a long road ahead of me... the learning has just begun.
Thanks for the web site
Have a Happy New Year!

I'll do my best to keep this short

My name is Taylor and I am an 89D in training. I have been in the Army for about 6 months now and went to basic at Ft. Leonardwood. So far I'm loving EOD and am only here to absorb knowledge and stay out of the way. Thank you for this privilege.

ALCON,
I have served a long while in the worlds greatest Navy and will continue to do so as long as the admiralty allows. I have achieved the honorable rank of Chief Petty Officer in a community that is well regarded professionally and notorious in deeds. Though these days I am not a full time sailor and perform my drill weekends with pride. I have served with the best warriors this great nation of ours has ever produced and it has been the highest priveledge. We have made and shaped history despite the ill decisions of a few powerfull elected officials. Ahhh...but alas, there be opportunity in conflict matey! Anyway, I have chosen a life of service to Uncle Sam and imagine I will do so for some time. I don't know how active I will be in this forum, but I do stop by to read them all. I am a life long learner and there is much to take in from this site. Thank you all for posting your knowledge.

Well, Kelly. You can only imagine how thrilled that you have joined us. Are you a brother of the SEAL persuasion? (A little hard to tell from your post and profile.) Welcome!

I am a member of the run, jump, swim club; however, not a SEAL. I am a Chief EOD Tech who has served along side SEALs and SF in Kosovo, Iraq, HOA, and Colombia. I am Combat Diver, MFF, HRST qualified and currently a Federal LEO. Thanks for the warm welcome though.

Hi. I found this site awhile back when I Googled Flint Kaserne. I was stationed there from June 71 to Dec. 72. I was with the support company. If I could have stayed in Bad Toelz for my entire carreer I would have made the Army a career. I had a great time there and met a lot of great people. It's sad to see what they have done with the Kaserne but there's no stoping progress?

Greetings.

My name is Mike. 24 years old. Active Duty 11B. Currently deployed in support of OIF. Assigned to the S-3 Shop. Few credits short of my degree in English. Plan to knock it out this tour, and then start a B.S. in Intelligence Studies (concentration in Intelligence Collection).

Reading, writing, training, foreign languages, drills, and ballistics occupy my down time.

Have a few friends who are in the SF pipeline now, wanted to learn more what they are going through, and found the site to be vastly informative. I look forward to learning a lot and thank you for the opportunity to do so.

New

Hello QP members;

I am an Active duty enlisted soldier in the Army. I have been a 68KP9 (Biological Research Tech) for the past four years and served that time at the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine.
I recently re-enlisted under the BEAR program to become a 35F (Intel Analyst) and upon course completion, I will be heading to one of the units in the 173rd.
The reason I joined this site is to 1) learn as much as I can from those that have been deployed, and 2) share my knowledge where applicable.

Thank you for the opportunity,

-BB

I am a civilian who has done nothing to warrant my membership here. I have always enjoyed reading military history and found the site while searching book reviews. Since then I have been lurking and have found a great source of information on such a wide variety of topics. I have hesitated to sign up since I do not see myself having much to contribute, but I appreciate being able to use the search feature. The little bit of SA that I have aquired tells me that I have probably said more then I should so I better run for cover. I would just like to add that I am greatly appreciative of the service many here have given on behalf of freedom. Thank You.

Howdy.

My name is Calvin and I'm currently a student in Texas in Army ROTC.

I don't know if, when I graduate, I'd like to go medical and be an army doc or infantry and then perhaps special forces.

I'm here to learn.
