I am interested in learning more about becoming a SF soldier. My idea is to start training, research as much as possible, and to enlist in the military. I want to test my limits while building on the necessary skills to serve my country with strength and honor. I've spent several hours reading the posts here and impressed with the amount of helpful information that is available. Thanks to all the QP's and people in the military for your service.

'Bout time you came out of the shadows!

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

I've visited this site for a long while now looking for professional opinions on foreign policy from guys who have to live inside of it. I've also been interested in the combat/outdoors medicine and ballistics side of things.

In other words I guess that makes me an inquisitive wannabe.

Currently getting in shape for the Houston Police department academy although I also have considered National Guard service (active/reserves no go due to age).

Living in Houston and surviving the hurricanes that come my way.

Greetings

Hello to all. I am a prior service support soldier. Have been reading the board, hoping to raise my SA enough to post without facing the wrath of the Reaper. Will stick to mostly reading and learning. Thanks to the QPs for opening this board to everyone and the great insight they provide. Safe travels gentlemen, America needs you.

Don't fear the Reaper.

Welcome all.

Greetings, all

I have just signed an 18x contract, and am currently knotting the loose ends while waiting to ship.

The abundance of information on this site has played no small part in both my decision and assuring me that it was the right one--my thanks to all who have contributed.

Hello Team Sergeant and everyone else, thought I would go ahead and introduce myself to the community. My name is Ryan. I have been active duty for a little over 5 yrs now and I am very dedicated to serving my country. I was stationed in Korea with 1/503 IN (AASLT) and have been to Iraq twice now. I attended SFAS this May, was selected and will be heading for Airborne in Nov. then hitting the pipeline in Jan. I am looking forward to the start of a new life in the Army. I was in the sniper/scout platoon in 1/9 IN and after experiencing that kind of small unit training I have been very motivated to join SF ever since. I will be training as an 18C and learning French. I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of the forum. I hope to learn a lot from talking to the current senior QP's here and the guys fresh out of the course to stay up to date on training and also tips and tricks to taking care of myself over there. Thanks again.

Introduction

Hello everyone,
I have been visiting this site on and off in between blocks of training and have found it very interesting and informative. I finally recently registered, and have been meaning to post an intro, but have been entertaining family that came in for the events.

I am a new 18B currently in what they call phase VI (graduation and outprocessing) eager to get out of here, get to my new unit, and back into the fight.

before attending the Q-course I was a "support guy" served in both the 782d MSB(when there was such a thing) and later HHC 1/10 SFG(A)

I'd like to extend a special thanks to those who make this site possible and also the all who have helped me get where I am today.

Hello everybody,
I've been watching and reading silently for some while now and I thought it about time to introduce myself.

As my profile says, I'm a senior in high school and I'm applying to West Point for next year. I've been building robots for nearly 10 years now and am hoping to get to work with SUGVs in the Army.
