I was at the game. There was an impressive turnout by Ohio State fans, but they sure were talking a lot of smack for fans of a team that has been creamed every time they played a good team from a real conference. They didn't talk so much after the game, though.
Did anyone see what BYU did to UCLA? That 59-0 shellacking was almost better than the USC win for us . . .
I think Michigan will be good again eventually, but right now I don't know why anyone would get excited about beating them. Frankly the entire Big 10 and the entire midwest is devoid of decent football teams. Their best players go to Florida and USC.

Why the hell are you getting me into trouble with TR? "Boats loads of crap"... that never happen TR, I don't know what JMI is talking about. Oh, yea, I see where your anger is coming from…remember USC 35- Luckeyes 3. Can you say Whoop ass!!
Sorry for my absence but during the last couple of weeks I have been in between jobs. But I am definitely back defending good against evil! (read Michigan vs Ohio State)
"I don't think Michigan's OL can hang with ND's front seven, so they will not be able to run the ball, and with young, inexperienced QB play, throwing will be tough as well." ...how wrong were you in this point JMI?
Steven Threet 16-23 175(yds) 69.6 (cmp%) 1TD 147.83(rating)
Sam McGuffie 25(att) 131(yds) 5.2(avg)
Still, I have to say I don't like the shotgun spread but it appears its here to stay. Michigan’s offense is getting better but they have to minimize the turnovers plus the defense can't give up the big play. They don't have the pass rush they used to have so that means the Safety’s must play deep and keep everything in front.
Next comes Wisconsin...it will be interesting to say the least.
Hey JMI...I have a feeling the Beanie Wells is going to be out for the better part of the season. If that is true...take a chair my friend because its going to be a long season.

You have a feeling? Hope is not a method, son. He almost played Saturday, so keep on hoping.
Your team lost pretty big to a team that won 3 games last season. It's called scoreboard, no matter how many stats you post.

We're coming off a season where we won 3 games, Michigan is an arch rival, and Michigan fans and Notre Dame fans talk smack - that is why it is called a rivalry. Next to Ohio State and Notre Dame, my favorite team is whoever plays Michigan.
And the Big Ten is weak, I admit that. But head to head in bowl games the last few season, we're tied with the SEC 9-9, so they're not that far behind.
These kinds of things swing back and forth all the time with "who's the strongest conference." Right now it is the SEC. Certainly a case can be made for the PAC-10. But things are evening out when a team like ECU can beat West Virginia and Virginia Tech, or an Oregon or Stanford and beat USC.

Don't know...something tells me that his injury is more serious than Tresell is letting on.

All this talk about Chris Wells is pretty amusing. I'd rather have Allen Bradford, who is fourth on our tailback depth chart.

1. USC - Got my vote, they deserve to be number 1 at the moment.
2. Oklahoma - Well, I'm not a poll-ster.
3. Georgia - after the SC game, they should be 13 or 14.
4. Florida - Eh....can't realy tell until they start bumping screws with the SEC.
5. Missouri - I'd vote them into the number 2 slot over Oklahoma.
6. LSU - My team, love them...waiting to see how they handle the SEC.
7. Texas - Oh gawd, move along nothing to sees hear.
8. Wisconsin - CHEESE
9. Alabama - WTF...Ummm guess Saban does carry weight in the AP polls.
10. Auburn - After that 3-2 win, why are they even in the top 50?
I kinda hope Ga beats Az St, simply because I'd love to see Bama knock them off the pearch.
Who is Oklahoma playing this year? Oh forgot they played Chattanooga, big NCAA power house right there.......
Kind of hope we get to see USC v SEC this go around......might be a ball game instead of the pee wee scrimmages we've seen the last two years.

Trio,
Hello from the Sooner State!
And whom, may I ask, did you not insult with your last post?
It's okay...we all know that some teams are more "Quiet" than others during the first half of the season.
Here is to hoping for a Great Year!!!

They may end up in the BCS Championship even with one or two losses. Texas, Kansas, Kansas St and Nebraska are always tough machups.
But let me summarize by saying...
GO BLUE!
