Even though I am new here, I would like to welcome both of you.

Ducttapeguy: Pursue your goals and see where it takes you. I waited for almost 5 years after I enlisted before going to SFAS. I'm just now finishing the Q. I think the experience was essential to my success in the course, but still wish I had done it sooner.

I served 8 years in the Army and Army National Guard. I work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and I am on the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) at my prison complex. Being on the team has brought back many good memories from the Army and I am now thinking of re-enlisting in the National Guard.

New Guy.

Hello everyone,

I am a 68W currently attached to A co. 1/26 Inf 3/1ID. I am very interested in going to SFAS come the end of this deployment. I have been in the service for several years. I am excited to be part of the team.

Figured I would post up an introduction as I have been lurking for long enough.

Served 7 years in the Air Force bending wrenches on C5's out of Travis. Grew up an Army bratt to an 11H so I have a soft spot in my heart for you crunchy types.

I am a military history geek and enjoy the smell of nylon and old canvas tents.

intro

Hello, I'm an 18X, shipping in Sept 08.

I have a background in rock and ice climbing, wilderness medicine, general outdoor trip leading (worked in that industry for 4 years), and shooting... pistols mostly (IDPA master class on a good day). I worked as a range officer/ sales associate for just under 2 years.

I'm here to learn as much as I can, before I start the pipeline.

Hello, I have been attending a military boarding school called Howe Military School in northern Indiana. I've been looking for information on Special Forces because that is what I want to do and I never jump into something without knowing about a little about it first hand. So i would like to say thank you for making and contributing to a website like this so us younger people have a much wider base to make a career decision if we decide to chose this one or one like it.

Hello, my name is Chris. I joined the army in 2005 on an 18X contract. I made it to the end of the Charlie course but I was young and immature and didn't pass the final test. I was sent to the 4/25th in Alaska which I think is what i needed to grow up. A year later, I am now trying to get back into the Q to finish what I started. Thank you for allowing me to join and gain knowledge and advice.

Intro

I've been browsing PS for some time now. Figured I should introduce myself so I can contribute.

I'm from Colorado and I am starting Phase III Monday. I've been enlisted 5 years. Currently 11B en-route to Echo land.

Nice screen name.... the jackal was a terrorist, a coward and a bottom feeding scumbag that was finally tracked and caught by a former member of the US Army, Special Forces.

That Special Forces member is on this website.

"Hunting the Jackal" by SGM Billy Waugh, go get it and read it. And after you do, think of a new screen name.
