My name is Tim, and I'm currently an E-4 in the USAR. I spent 9 months in Iraq in 2005/6 with the 220th TC as an 88M. I've been in uniform since I was 17 (22 now) and had grand plans to be an army aviator or, failing that, SF... unfortunately the army had other plans. I've had the honor of brief encounters with different members of the SF community a few times, and it's always something I enjoy. I've been trained by you guys a couple of times heading to the box and while I was there, and shared brief conversations whenever I could upon crossing ya'lls paths... I am always pleased to have got the chance.
I'm here because I didn't get to do everything I wanted to in the army, and life has changed for me now. So I like to learn, watch, listen and live vicariously through you guys. I guess you can say I'm an enthusiast of the tactical mindset.
I don't know if I personally ever had what it took to become one of you guys. I know statistically, probably not. But, to you QP's out there... I want to say I am honored to wear the same uniform as you guys. Each one of your lives is worth 100 of mine. Stay safe when going into harms way gentlemen... our world needs guys like you too much.
Take care all.

That's simply not true at all. We all have our place and responsibility, and all of them are needed to get the job done. Please re-examine your low self-worth a little more critically and understand your own valuable contributions.

Hi, my name is Andrew, im 17 years old and becoming a Navy Seal is my goal, and although this may not be a site dedicated to Navy Seal, Army SF are the essentially the same, just a different branch. Nevertheless, I've come seeking guidence both mentally and physically.
Respectfully,

Welcome Andrew.
My guidance to you is do some more reading on both SF and SEALS. While both are SOF units we are not essentially the same. Nonetheless, enjoy the site and be sure to utilize the search button...its amazing what info is often overlooked.

I find your ignorance offensive.
While you are at it, what would you like your new user name to be?
