False Profits and Prophets

What I cannot understand is that a supposed man of God, uses such language. Not only that, there are children in the video learning from this idiot. This disgraces people to no end. Can we get away from the B and W America. As for separation of Church and State, well.., thats just been thrown out the window. Forget the fact that most do not truly understand the history of the Parties and just vote their color. Maybe now all will see the true nature of this wolf in sheep's clothing.

Read Jeremiah 29:20-32

Jeremiah foretells judgments upon the false prophets, who deceived the Jews in Babylon. Lying was bad; lying to the people of the Lord, to delude them into a false hope, was worse; but pretending to rest their own lies upon the God of truth, was worst of all. They flattered others in their sins, because they could not reprove them without condemning themselves. The most secret sins are known to God; and there is a day coming when he will bring to light all the hidden works of darkness.

Let's see this for the hilarious irony that it is: hussein obama tries to distance himself from his muslim past by claiming to be Christian. His "Christian" advisor turns out to be a bigot and hater. Maybe hussein will run back to his muslim roots now.

Rev. Wright is now compared to Jesus, by Obama's new Pastor.

Quote:
In Easter Sermon, New Obama Pastor Charges Rev. Wright Victim of ‘Lynching’

CHICAGO — The new pastor of Barack Obama’s church delivered a defiant defense of its retiring reverend Sunday, comparing media coverage of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to a modern-day lynching that resembles Jesus’ death at the hands of the Romans.

In a sunrise Easter sermon, Rev. Otis Moss III never mentioned Wright by name, but implied that his mentor, who has delivered sermons in which he likened the U.S. to the Ku Klux Klan and declared it damned for its “state-sponsored terrorism,” is facing the same challenges Jesus did.”No one should start a ministry with lynching, no one should end their ministry with lynching,” Moss said.

“The lynching was national news. The RNN, the Roman News Network, was reporting it and NPR, National Publican Radio had it on the radio. The Jerusalem Post and the Palestine Times all wanted exclusives, they searched out the young ministers, showed up unannounced at their houses, tried to talk with their families, called up their friends, wanted to get a quote on how do you feel about the lynching?” he continued.

The criticism surrounding Wright has not softened the services at Trinity United Church of Christ, where Obama has been a congregant for 20 years. Instead, Moss defiantly defended their method of worship, referencing rap lyrics to make his point.”If I was Ice Cube I’d say it a little differently — ‘You picked the wrong folk to mess with,’” Moss said to an enthusiastic congregation, standing up during much of the sermon, titled “How to Handle a Public Lynching.”

Wright’s sermons were criticized for casting the country as institutionally racist and Obama sharply condemned Wright’s remarks as racially divisive in a high-profile speech Tuesday, though the candidate would not renounce the pastor himself. Church officials said Wright, who is now on sabbatical and entering retirement after nearly 40 years of service with the church, was not attending any service Sunday.

Obama and his family were spending Easter on vacation and also were not attending services.

Though the church recently moved a once-prominent section on its Web site about the “Black Value System,” the congregation still describes itself as “unashamedly black and unapologetically Christian.” A plaque states this prominently behind the front desk.

The sermons Sunday, which kept references to Wright as a common thread, implied that the firestorm over Wright’s remarks has taken the church’s teachings out of context.

Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, the first female bishop in the AME Church, also delivered a sermon, in which she talked about visionaries like King and Gandhi and “Jeremiah” (it was unclear whether she meant Wright), and argued that their words weren’t about “anger,” but about “a passion that demands confrontation.”

“The purveyors of information are trying to be judge and jury over prophetic utterances,” she said.

The church program handed out Sunday also included an essay called “Not on My Watch” from the Rev. Samuel B. McKinney of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Seattle. McKinney said he was “greatly disturbed” by the “media feeding frenzy that has tarnished everyone in the process.”

“Dr. Wright represents the best among us … An attack on this man of God is an attack on all those of the cloth who believe in the social Gospel of liberation. And I will not stand for it,” he wrote.

Moss issued several pleas to congregants to donate to what he called the “Resurrection Fund,” stressing that during this time of battle, money is needed to defend the church. He offered no additional specifics about the fund, telling churchgoers he didn’t want to get into it because Trinity is streaming the service live on the Web and the services are available for purchase on DVD.

He concluded with another analogy, saying, “In order to crucify him you’ve got to lift him up … he had more visibility on the cross than he did during his entire ministry.”

Bill O'Reilly uses the term 'lynching' = racist

Rev. Otis Moss uses term 'lynching' repeatedly = acceptable speech

Let's hear it for double standards!

Obama on small-town PA: Clinging religion, guns, xenophobia

Huffpo's Mayhill Fowler has more from Obama's remarks at a San Francisco fundraiser Sunday, and they include an attempt to explain the resentment in small-town Pennsylvania that won't be appreciated by some of the people whose votes Obama's seeking:

Quote:
You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them...And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
That's a pretty broad list of things to explain with job loss.

Hmm....So what is he saying here? That the government should show up on the doorstep of certain companies and "demand that they give people in these town jobs!!"

Agreed Sir! And very well said IMHO. If only those "supporting" B. Hussein Obama chose to understand this concept...instead, they turn a blind eye to this reality.

Just totally ignorant...

Just unpack this statement and think about it.

This guy is so totally out of touch - Look at his attitude to guns and faith as if these things are what "losers" cling to....He has such outrageous temerity to indict small town America for clinging to religion for the last 25 years as if they are ignorant while he sits in the pews of the Jeremiah Wright for two decades - What hypocrisy.

Simply incredible - the fact that he can exist at all as a plausible candidate is a sad testimony to where this nation has come.

Before I read the article I thought that Obama was just naive, and looking to manipulate the equally ignorant masses. It sounds like if he were to become president he would declare war on me and my way of life.

Obama you are right about something. We will cling to our religion and guns. Not because we don't have jobs, but because they are our rights and the very essence of our freedom.

Besides, I haven't searched any numbers but am I suppose to buy into believing that the unemployment rate in small town America is HIGHER than in the derelict-ridden large cities? Sounds like he has taken to heart the teachings of his "reverend" a little more than he'd like us to know.

Good catch !

Without proper tax incentives and free trade promotion then how do democrats purport to renew job growth ?

Obama and Hillary want to do away with the Bush tax cuts, but are their followers ready to give more and recieve less when April 15th comes around each year ? I don't think so, but since both Hillary and Obama have used the "let's penalize big business for making money" it seems to have taken a certain "let's get em" attitude. Just how much more ignorant can two would be Presidential nominees possibly be ? I suspect the majority of their supporters are either homeless, or out of a job anyway.

God help us .

They're far from ignorant. They keenly understand what their supporters want to hear, and give it to them in hopes of getting elected.

What never ceases to amaze me is, how these people can be continually lied to by these 'canidates" and still will vote for them. All candidates for President completely, and totally disgust me. They openly "mis-speak" and accuse each other of things they do, and people STILL listen to them.

With our choices, it amazes me that we as a species ever left this planet...

I think McCain is far from the perfect candidate, but I don't think he is a liar. He's got problems, but IMO lying isn't one of them. I do disagree with him on a lot of issues and I wish he were younger; however, the man appears to have integrity.

FWIW...my $.02
