Hello
Hey guys, former Marine here. I'm currently a contractor in A-Stan and did a couple tours of Iraq. Worked with an ODA in Najaf during '04 but not sure of the number. Just here to read and learn. Thanks for letting me on. Take care

All,
I’m a former 25S4O prior to commissioning into the AG Corp (last year) via G2G ADO. Even though I didn’t commission into a maneuvers branch, I still aspire to become an 18A once my year group is eligible. In the meantime, I’ll continue to PT, work towards excelling as an AG officer and contribute as much as I can to my unit. I’m currently with USARSO and look foward to some great training opportunities; as well as the possibility of attending both airborne and ranger school during my stay here – if not, I’ll drive on.
I take great pride in being a professional soldier. Hopefully, my career goals will come to fruition and I’ll be given the opportunity to become an 18A. Thus far, my searches here have answered the mass majority of my questions. I thank you for that.

Wouldn't count on getting a lot of school slots while on a theater army staff.
That is something to try and get as part of a PCS, if AG branch will entertain it at all.

Agreed.
The current trend here leaves room for a little bit of hope. These options were presented to me when I got here and I couldn't believe it. I'll believe it when I see orders.

Intro
Former Marine here, heard about the forum from a buddy who is a contractor at Balad air base. I appreciate the oportunity to join the forum. I am mainly here to read and learn.
My experiences range from deployments to Central America to some limited Gulf ops. I spent most of my time at MECDEC Quantico Va. which is now MCCDC. My last unit was EI co. Supp. Bn. at TBS. I am an 0341/0321 with my last years spent as an instructor.

Something weird is going on with my browser, not sure I'm displaying all pages on this thread. Just making sure you got my introduction a page or 2 back.

been quiet for a long time
I'm an NCO stationed Ft. Carson. I have been on this site for a long while reading and learning and keeping my mouth shut. I have a selection date for
9 APR. My apologies for not doing an intro prior to this. Before I didn't feel that I had anything worthwhile to say. Things are different now, the dream has become a mission. Thanks guy's.

Welcome aboard, Switz. I'm sure we'll bump into one another in the QC. Best of luck to you.

Hi, my name is Glenn. I was active duty 86-92 as a 13 Fox. I served with 8th ID in Germany, 10th MTN, and the 82nd. I submitted a SFAS packet in 92 but tore 2 ligaments in my right knee before my school date. I decided to get out afterwards under the force reduction plan. Last year, I joined the NC National Guard and am currently in Phase 0 of OCS.
My first encounter with quiet professionals was in Bad Toltz, Germany at a school called platoon confidence training. Great school, learned a lot and was very impressed with the staff's professionalism.
I have already learned and remembered a lot just from browsing the site. Thanks for letting me onboard.
