Congo back in the house
Congo here. It all started with 594 and when 5th went to FCKY, we stood up 1st BN 3rd Group. During O&I we switched but I continued to wear my 5th Gp flash until I went back to my "new" old team 334. As soon as I got the four colored flash sewn on we started getting ready for Desert Storm and 1/3 made our debut from the parking garage at the airport. I wrote a decent history of what 1/3 did during Desert Storm if anyone wants to see it, send me a note. From 334 I went to 384 and was the Team Daddy after Tim L. left. We had some fun in Zim land and then I headed for the MFFS where I got my "I" and we moved from Bragg to YPG. DA let me have a short tour at SWC due to promotion to MSG and my crying to get back to a team. For my sins they sent me to C/2/10th at Carson. Had 061 - a good tem, just not MFF - for a few years and we had a blast until I was told I had to go to a staff position - then I retired. Working now for a big corporation and still keeping my fingers in National security concerns. Recognized some names from back in the day from both the 5th and 3rd Group threads. To all my Brothers, Happy New Year!
Congo sends.

Congo,
That's an excellent article, and really filled in the blanks for this REMF.

I was in the Marine Corps for four years, went into the Army after debating about becoming a cop, went to selections in December of 2006 and now I am a student in the Bravo course. I work part time (a couple hours a week) at Phase 5 Supply in Fayettevile so I can get good deals on guns when I am out here. Studying Indonesian so I am probably heading to 1st group some time this summer. Hope to get some good information off this site.

Hello all. I'm a 19 year old college student; currently a poli-sci major, but undecided is closer to the truth. I walked on and a made my school's football team, but after dealing with the bureaucracy/immorality of D-I football, I'm strongly considering shifting gears and doing something more.
I also lived nearly 3 years in Vienna, and though I prefer my hometown to it, I'm feeling restless with my normal routine of the last few years.
Essentially, I'm looking into 18x (or possibly RIP), and this site should (and already has) be helpful in making a decision within the next year.

All,
I am known as PO, to the men. I'm recently honorably discharged after three years and fours months of active duty as an 11B. I was with 3rd Brigade 2nd ID and deployed with them once on a 15 month tour. June 06 - September 07. I have been scouting these boards for years; I appreciate all of the general advice and knowledge presented on this site. Enough kissing butt, I have left the army, but the army has not left me.
PO

Congrats.
Since you have been here for a while, did you ever notice where the introductions for everyone else go?
Maybe you have read the sticky for this forum?
