Intro
Greetings,
I've been a long time lurker, now seems as good a time as any to introduce myself. I went through the Q-course as an 18B in 5/84 right after OSUT/Jump School. After a medical recycle I finished as an 18E in class 4/85. Did B team time in 3BN 10th group BOP, then spent some time on ODA 072 at Devins with some truly amazing guys. Had a great time at SOT school, then turned down HALO/DLI to go back to college. 20+ years later I still wonder often if that was the right choice. Did the ROTC thing, Armor, Reserve training Bgds, IRR, etc. in the guard/reserves for 14 years, resigning my commission in 2002. When I was on active duty in SF I had no appreciation at all for the gulf in quality and professionalism separating the guys on this forum from those in the regular army. But, as they say, you can never go back. Now work at U Mich as a pol sci prof.

Goog day gents.
Gentlemen, My name is Jason. I am a Boatswain Mate in the Navy. I joined this site mainly for some of the reviews on gear and such. I have quite a few friends in the NSW community, but it is always good to hear what other people think. Primarily, you guys still use 1911's a good bit, my pistola of choice. I am also interested in the Pipeline section of the forums. I am still waiting to see if I will re-enlist in the Navy or come to the 18 community. I plan on reading more than posting. Thank you for this opportunity to talk amongst you.

Cool name for a SGT. It would make you to young to ask if your parents were G&R Fans, but it's coming...
Welcome to the Board.

Good morning.
Here is my first post as requested. My profile has been created. I currently work at a phone company making sure phone calls get answered. I'm currently looking for something that actually requires some serious work and commitment, possibly SF. Registering here so that should I have any future questions about the SF that stickies, googling, and recruiters are unable to answer, I'll be able to get information from those who have been there.
Thank you all for letting me be a guest in your house.

Accomplish the Mission
Morning all!!.....
Name's Drew. I did C 1/7 (732) early '90's, B Co. SWTG and SFAS (mid '90's). Anyone who had me as a walker will remember 'Accomplish the Mission' and 8 hours of staring at a blank sheet of paper....lol.... .
...and C 3/7 'til I retired '04 (knuckledragger '95 / RST '97). TripC after that.
Callsign is still the same as Bdad.....here and elsewhere...
BTW---DC sucks, rely on WTOP for all the answers....

Introduction
Hello everyone my is Jay. I'm currently in the Q-course in Language Re-Train, (Arabic got me the first time around). I'm going through as an 18E and was previously in the 782nd BSB as a 94E,(Radio Comsec Repair). If all goes as planned then I'll be in 5th Group by early April. Also, this forum came highly recommended to me by a good friend of my Father-in-Law's, Retired CW4 Ed Lowrey. That's all for now so thanks for having me here and God Bless.

yip yip, is the chief your F-I-L or friend of your F-I-L?
Some of us know the chief when he was a NTIG E-6
Welcome all.

Sounds like something I read on a letter in 1968. I was able to beat the draft. I enlisted!
Welcome
