Hello!
Greetings all,
I'm a graduate student at NYU, concentrating on international relations. I have no military experience, but as a student of politics and history I appreciate the time and effort you all put into answering questions and maintaining a professional environment.

Stepping into the light
Greetings Gents, I'm a long time lurker first time poster. Matter of a fact I just registered even though I've been lurking for around a year now. There is some great information on this site. I'm gonna keep a ears and eyes open and mouth shut attitude while I'm here. Seeing as though I'm not and operator and never have been.

Permission to come aboard, Team Leader?
My nick pretty much says it all. I am an Army Mom, my son's dob is 12/28.
He is a commo guy currently deployed with a sf unit in the sandbox.
I am hoping, coming home soon. Soon as In its my christmas present
each year for him and his buds to come back safe and semi sound.
How sound can one be after 4 months of getting shot at eh?
I am here to lurk, learn and very very occasionally offer a comment that is hopefully, of some small value.
All of you, who do this job, keep me safe, and the wind I sail in free.
Thank You.

Greetings everyone,
I am a college student (Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University) that is scheduled to graduate in spring of 2008. Afterwards I am hoping to enlist in the National Guard with the ultimate goal of being on an SF team. I have been lurking here for a few years learning about Special Forces and would like to thank everyone for their knowledge and what they do. -Will

31 y/o former Marine, doing the cop thing but I have been missing the military a lot lately. The idea of trying out the NGSF has been on my mind ever since the day I met the late SFC Crabtree. I was fortunate enough to have met Dan at a LE instructor school, we BS'd about this and that and he clued me in on the NGSF and told me I should look into it.
Now I'm here because when I spoke to the recruiter, well she didn't come across like she knew what she was talking about so I figured I'd come here.
SFC Daniel Crabtree, RIP, you are not forgotten
