Spc. Pat Tillman

I know we have all seen over and over on the news how this ex-NFL player died in Afghanistan. But once I read past that, and learned what an up and coming NFL star he was and the money he turned down. I thought to myself how hard that must have been for him to turn down that money, and go for what was right in his heart. As I am training now, I am looking toward figures that I should strive to be like, and he is without a doubt one of those figures. I bow my head in a moment of silent and wish that he may rest peacefully.

If you've listened to any of his (few) interviews on the subject, you'd see it wasn't hard at all.

“My great grandfather was at Pearl Harbor, and a lot of my family has ... gone and fought in wars, and I really haven’t done a damn thing as far as laying myself on the line like that.”
