I've been a long time lurker, now seems as good a time as any to introduce myself. I went through the Q-course as an 18B in 5/84 right after OSUT/Jump School. After a medical recycle I finished as an 18E in class 4/85. Did B team time in 3BN 10th group BOP, then spent some time on ODA 072 at Devins with some truly amazing guys. Had a great time at SOT school, then turned down HALO/DLI to go back to college. 20+ years later I still wonder often if that was the right choice. Did the ROTC thing, Armor, Reserve training Bgds, IRR, etc. in the guard/reserves for 14 years, resigning my commission in 2002. When I was on active duty in SF I had no appreciation at all for the gulf in quality and professionalism separating the guys on this forum from those in the regular army. But, as they say, you can never go back. Now work at U Mich as a pol sci prof.
