You have to love this!!

When I went to college some idiot asked me how I kept my sanity after serving in Vietnam. I told him it was because I left the war in Vietnam. In reality, I tend to remember the good times and there were good times to be had. This film is great and these troops have good attitudes. They aren't REMFs. Be sure to read the credits at the end.

That's funny as hell!

During my time at Soc Trang (65-66) we lost about as many slick pilots to our "banana tree parties", as we did to combat. Eventually the Bn Co, Bill Maddox, outlawed "banana tree parties"...So we gave him one for his going away party.

You can't just put something like a "banana tree party" out there and not give the story.

Alright, it's been 40 years but I will write up what I remember of it, and make a separate post.

Sir, if you have to make that much of an effort to recall the parties themselves then we need to hear the stories!
