Basically. I hate that word. If it was so fooking basic then I wouldn't be asking you to explain it you fooking moron. I know people that use that word more than once in a sentence, and they're supposed to be in charge. Basically has turned into the 21st century "um".

"Could of" really grits my undies each time I hear it. Same with "Youes".

Anything over 100%.

As for "could of", this is the first time I have seen it that way in writing. Think of what you hear as "could have" and perhaps your undies will not not up.

"Fo Sure" Anyplace you go you hear this by punks. It's a shame you can't bitch smack someone for saying it.

"Happy Holidays" Leave my country alone, if you don't like it get out!

And people who call themselves "Liberals", that just kinda makes you cringe.

I am wondering about a society that will ban the correct use of a word like "niggardly" and discipline the user, yet permit public performances and recordings of people who seem to think "mother f*@#er", "b@#$h", "s!&t" etc., are acceptable expressions for children to hear.

"Operator" when referring to SF unless referring to us venerable radio operators.

Liliy Tomlin is an operator: One ringy dingy. . .

hehe, I'm guily of that sorry....so should I start calling you guys megaforce?

I really hate the word "filibuster"....man people are getting way too into the whole idea of talking for an extremely long time about nothing too stop the vote of a political item. Friend did a speech on filibustering (to the tune of Dr. Suess books red fish blue fish and the like) and talked how theyve filibustered almost anything that could be imagined, even whether or not to install rubber chips on playground floors.....so yeah, drop "filibuster"

I can't do much about the word OPERATOR. I believe it is in the DoD Dictionary. Nevertheless I would prefere OPERATIVE.

A new word I like is BUT_MONKEY. That's a person who will agree with everything you say then finish with BUT. You can get But_monkey T-shirts, mugs and other accessories at Laura Ingram's web site.

Funny you mention that. When my father was in the service as a Master Gunner he used that term for one of his classes and was brought up on charges. They were dropped and the guy who started it was dropped from the school.

Can we add any derivative of "empower" to the list? I hate that word...

actually, i'd like to see the word "warrior" and phrases involving that word, stricken from the lexicon of life support systems for jock straps...

Why couldn't the Army be happy with the term 'Soldier' everything nowadays has to be Warrior, Operator, Contractor, etc.

Another term that bugs me, yet I see it in the newspapers, hear it on television, etc., is 'Co-conspirator.' Its often written like this: "Bob Jones is a co-conspirator." You're either a conspirator or you're not.

A contractor is not a soldier.

Co-conspirator indicates that there are more than one. They beat that word to death during Watergats as in, "He was an unindicted co-conspirator...."

I have to agree with the Shooter on that. It takes at least two to have a conspiracy!
