Who to believe

Kinda make you wonder when this CIA guy, Berntsen, is looking to come out with a sweet book deal about how he got screwed out of capturing OBL in Tora Bora. A sure best seller especially in this Bush bashing era. Did we really screw up the chance to get him? CIA Story

Then you have these knuckleheads that need a tradecraft refresher. Makes you wonder what kind of training did they sleep through, or did they just get complacent and lazy? CIA Soup Sandwich
Not to mention I wasn't impressed with my run ins with spooks down range. So I'm not buying it at this stage.

dave;
Who to believe? damn sure not the press...
remember there's always a mix of fact&fiction in these media accounts...As you have seen in some other threads which have been closed. Sensitive topics regarding tradecraft should be avoided...remember, you'll never read about the successes.

Andy McNab's B20 book was once heralded as one of the greatest E&E's of all time. Multiple sources and multiple accounts later, some think its a great farce. Best thing you can do is gather as many sources as you can, examine every angle and highlight consistencies and inconsistencies between accounts. Sum up all accounts and make up your own mind after doing the best research you can. This process never ends
