Gas port size on 10.5 shorty M-4

Gentlemen,

Does anyone know the correct size for the gas port on a 10.5 inch M4? I have been told there is a maximum and a minimum size and somewhere in between is the sweet-spot that will reliably run the gun. I guess it is as much art as it is science. I have been told the shorty guns often need to be hand tuned to be completely dependable.

Any help would be much appreciated.

By the way, I do have a Title II permit for a legally owned M4. Right now it has a 14.5 inch barrel but I would like to try a 10.5 inch barrel on it.

Thanks!

Thanks Bob1984!

Can anyone verify this size through personal experience?
