Question ABX and appendicitis

Greetings all -

I've been trying to find a resource/reference for ABX-only treatment of appendicitis. Before people get upset, I'm looking at this from a perspective of not being able to get someone to a surgeon - I work in a remote portion of the arctic, and weather is periodically an issue preventing transportation; I'd rather have an option than nothing.

We routinely give Timentin 3.1g on evaluation then q6h, and are typically able to get someone to a surgeon with 8-10 hours. For those times when we're unable to transport - any suggestions?

Thanks for the info

That Guy-
If you want any information from the professionals on this site-you are required to follow the rules like everyone else.

1. Fill out your profile
2. Your first post should not be here...it should be in the introductions thread
3. Read the stickies, ALL of the stickies, comply with them, then try again.

My apologies. Apparently I was arrogant to think that this forum could be a valuable resource.

Want to re-think that last one?

If you had bothered to follow the rules you would have found that this site, is indeed, a valuable resource. The search button works here, as well.

Guess not. Apparently following the rules is beneath you. Fine with me.

When you are prepared to act like an adult, lose the attitude and comply with our requests in our house, you can try again. With a different user name.

Have a Very SF Day. Or not.
